The ONLY place I’d spend some coin in free agency is at the safety position.

Its not sexy, but we need to shore up our interior OL so we don't get Mahomie killed. He was taking some SHOTS against Baltimore.

The starting offensive line is good. But we have several injuries that we've been dealing with all season. Perhaps we need to upgrade the depth. It's also partly on Pat to make the right pre-snap adjustments, which he should learn to do better as time goes on.

I think the best thing to do would be actually to add to the WR core. They need a little quick slot guy that can run those option and arrow routes that just slay.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Chiefs need to have a Rams-like, go all in offseason to capitalize on Mahomes still being on his rookie contract.

True - Which is why you might be saying goodbye to players like Berry, Houston, and Sorenson. If we are going to maximize the early window of Mahomes' rookie contract we need to free up dollars now. You just need to make sure dollars are coming off the books every year. Which means maybe you keep Houston for one more year but move on from Berry.

All that said - I still think the only thing we really need in Free Agency is a legit safety. Everything else should be depth signings. The only other thing I can see spending some coin on is OC.

Houston's still a fine player, and a playmaker. Depending on your defensive plans for the future, extending him to provide cap relief is not the worst idea in the world.

Maybe a #2 CB to start opposite Fuller, unless the Chiefs plan to address that in the draft.

I think you go pretty heavy on CB in the draft, or flip a pick for a current player there. I wouldn't go into the free agent pool, it's meh.

If you really wanna go all in on Pats rookie deal, flip your first rounder to the Jags for Ramsey.

Berry would cost enormous dead money. But yeah... If you can't count on him to play there's a point where you consider taking that huge punch to the gut just to get it off your books two years from now.

We should be clearing our books where we can. Every other contract until mahomes gets here should be frontloaded like watkins'.

I would:
re-sign Damien Williams and Ware at RB
re-sign Sherman at FB
Extend Hill. Let Conley walk.

I think I move to an even line; and let Ford walk (too expensive and one dimensional). Extend Houston to lessen cap hit. I re-sign Nelson ONLY if it's a reasonable team friendly deal. Otherwise I let him walk along with Scandrick.
I sign a Grady Jarrett type at DT; I sign Landon Collins to a 5 or 6 year deal. I have Speaks condition to add strength, not drop weight and move inside. I put Kpass back at DE rotation where he's more suited.
I cut bait with Berry after June 1.
I sign a second tier CB (there are several) to compete. 2 if Nelson's gone. I just don't think with the current rules it's worth premium pay.
I draft Safety, DL, OLB in the first two rounds. I draft another RB in the 3rd.

I would franchise Ford for one more year or two if he plays well. I don't think he continues at his pace for long. Honestly tag then try and trade the second year.

Jones and hill are the must haves for me. Interior rush is so crucial and harder to find.
Edge rushers I say we draft.

Ware if we can get a good deal.

Sherman is okay, unless I am missing it how often does he get snaps?

Extending Kelvin if he works out for more two tight end sets. Drop Harris.

Draft, cb, safety, in, oline, rb
