Alex Tanney

Just watched Alex Tanney on Stan Lee's super Humans on the History Channel and they put him to some accuracy tests. He threw 5 consecutive 50 yard passes within a 2 inch circle. We have had a lot of QB talk around here, do you think Tanney can translate that accuracy to the NFL? He is currently on the Reserve/injured list and I think should get a serious look. You can't coach that kind of accuracy and God knows it has been lacking from the QB position for a long time in KC!!

The show wasnt something where he made thousands of throws and they edited it down to the ones he was successful at, they were all hit on the first throw.

I was very impressed.

It's one thing to make some YouTube videos when you have days to try over and over...it's another when the host asks you to hit the crossbar from the 50 and you walk right over and do it the first time...same with the other tests.

Can the guy not learn a playbook?

In all honesty all of the coaching resources were going to Cassel, and the other QBs were left in the wind. This was an effort to salvage *****'s failed investment which we all know didn't work.

That's my question...why didn't he ever transfer to a bigger college? Couldn't learn the playbook?

As someone that's seen him at training camp. He looked like shit. but with that said, I believe the "injury" was just a ploy to keep people from grabbing him off of our ps. So maybe there is something to him or pioli was just an idiot

I don't think there is any question that they hid and then illegally stashed him. Even if his injury was legit who puts a UFA with 4ish snaps of game film on IR.
I think they just didn't want him having game film so no other team would complain.

He'll probably end up being shit but they clearly thought he had some potential.

Well, it was awesome for Tanney's development, sitting at home doing jackshit while Stanzi literally absorbed a roster spot...

he was on the show Superhumans last night.

I'll admit.....it was insanely accurate.

no large angry black men running after him, but just the sheer accuracy of this throws was unreal.

I watched him at Training Camp and his accuracy was insane. (This was only in drills though, I didn't actually see him get any snaps in scrimmage)
When he was throwing into the net with the holes he was nailing it everytime whereas Cassel/Quinn/Stanzi couldn't get it at all.

I wonder what his real downside is. Accuracy is a great ability to have. If he has pocket presence and the ability to read a defense, the kid could be good.
