Someone explain that 3 and 2 bomb?

Chiefs didnt need points in that scenario...they needed 2 yards and a first down. Not only that, an incompletion stops the clock.

Two plays to get 2 yards with a fresh Hunt and the game is over...but they went for a low percentage play for no reason. One they have repeatedly missed on for the past few months..

That is, by far, the worst play call of the past few years. It's not a mistake a championship team makes... mind-numbingly stupid from every angle.

You forget that was the exact play that clinched us a SB berth against the Ravens?

I thought of that actually.

That was a 3rd and 10 though wasn't it? Plus, they had a 7 point lead instead of a 2 point lead. Totally different situation.

I remember a similar deal against the Raiders a couple years ago. Andy & Patrick went for a deep ball and missed it on 3rd and 3 with a 1 point lead. Raiders turned around and tried the same thing. Deep ball on 4th and 1, but they missed it. KC won by 1 point.

Yep, and we hadn’t just reshuffled our entire line and set up a guard at Left Tackle. I don’t think it’s a great comparison, to be honest.

Come on...Raiders fumbled away a chance to win...which they never should have had.

Andy isnt infallible...it was terrible call bordering on ridiculous. It almost cost them the game...

That was one of my favorite regular season wins of the Andy-Mahomes era. 90’s Arrowhead awoke that day and it was beautiful.

I don’t hate it if the goal is to ice the game. Don’t love the deep shot though. We were in a spot where we could ice the game on one play knowing that the 2 minute warning was a natural timeout. We weren’t running the ball well at all today so I get it. I don’t get doing that then punting on a makeable 4th.

That was the game where Chris Jones got called for a bullshit roughing the passer when Carr fumbled. Crowd booed the refs for the rest of the game, lol

Anyway, the final two drives featured very strange choices from both Vegas and Kansas City. Both teams needed short yardage and failed on the deep ball. Pretty stupid. At least KC was able to win both of these games, even with the mistakes.

Difference being Mahomes isn't hitting these throws this season. The play was there to be made.

It’s truly the benefit of sharing the division with the Raiders. We’re guaranteed one of these baffling wins every couple of years.

Christ get a rollout play called to get Mahomes on the move with an option to pick up the yardage himself.

An all or nothing bomb? And then punt?

That's terrible football there.

Play was there. Guy was wide open. That's the same play they called when they ****ed the bills. And I think he could have caught it based on the replay I saw (maybe I'm wrong only caught the one replay). Seems like there's been too many 1st - 4th round busts.Rice and Mcduffy are excellent but otherwise it's been a ****ing disaster. And the tackles are the worst tackles in the NFL and probably the CFL.
