The word "likely" would infer I was speculating. But do you really think Stoops would grant this special release if he thought it would come back to bite him in the butt? Perhaps, but I doubt it. Stoops has already seen the player he is and doesn't seem to be too worried about facing him in the future.

I see what you're saying. Probably wasn't quite what Stoops thought he would be getting. That doesn't mean he couldn't be a good player on a less talented football team. From the sounds of it, it looks like KU, KSU, & MU are interested in him.

(Smoke) Apparently an NCAA special release trumps any kind of release from the school. If this is going through the NCAA, OU really doesn't have a say.
