Andy Reid got thoroughly outcoached

Belichik didn't do a damn thing different then what he's done the last 6 weeks of the season and Andy Reid completely choked. No gameplan whatsoever. 37 yards of offense in the first half and I put that on Reid not Mahomes. He went the first 2 quarters without running a single bunch set, a single rub route, not once did he move the pocket, and only once did he run a play action pass. Not a single screen and no misdirection. He was dropping straight back in shotgun against a blitzing defense when he has a QB that can move.

Andy actually made Belichiks defense look like the '85 bears for a quarter.

I'm gonna have to agree with the folks in Philly who hate on him so much. Reid just doesn't have it.

Belicheck and the Pats did a great job exposing the Chiefs weakness in not stopping the run.

They ran it down our ****ing throats all day. Chiefs have to be better at stopping the run. Failure to stop the run has been at the heart of our 3 playoff losses in the last 3 years. If they don’t figure that shit out, they ain’t gonna win anything.

Simmah!!! Simmah dawn nah!!!

We were manhandled in the trenches and at the skill positions. Surely, you don't have to be reminded that the coaches do not play in the game. (And yes, I'm calling you Surely.)

We were roughed the hell up at every position group. That's what happened. There's a difference in how the Cheaters play in the post-season. From a physical standpoint, we played a normal game and they played a high-stakes game. That wasn't on Wally.

Although, I wish he'd called some more screens to slow down their pass rush. Our short game blitz-beaters got beat when the WRs and Kelce couldn't get off the LOS.

After all of that, we had that game won twice. Again.

Allow me the honor of also reminding you that we wouldn't have been IN the AFCCG as the #1 seed if it weren't for Wally.

Exactly...after the first couple of series, I was begging them to drum up some screen plays or bubble screens, etc.

Belichick did a great job of taking away Kelce and Hill but damn you HAVE to scheme something up to get the ball in their hands...esp. Hill. A jet sweep, screen, hell line him up in the backfield and pitch it or RPO with him.

Also he should've been returning kicks...esp. when he's being neutralized on the offensive side of the ball.

I mean what you saw last night was the difference between really good coaching and elite level Super Bowl winning coaching.

The Pats are cutthroat and ruthless in everything they do...it's all about winning Super Bowls. This organization could use some of that....

For a record setting offense to be held damn near yard-less for almost two quarters is simply inexcusable. I'm tired of taking these good to great offenses into the post-season only for the offensive line to look like a completely different unit than it did all regular season and get destroyed. It happens every year with Reid (except for the playoff loss in Indy which is all on Bob Sutton).

What good is a record setting offense if offensive line can't handle playoff intensity? There is no reason to think the same thing won't happen next year.

My biggest beef with Reid is when we don't make adjustments. This game we started off slow but we were extremely strong when it mattered most.

The coaching that ****ed up when it matters most, to no surprise, was Sutton. I blame Reid for keeping Sutton. But I'm not too upset at him otherwise. I'll gladly take late game coaching over early game.

If Ford isn't a few knuckles offside. Brady exits with 1 TD and 3 picks, and Gronk likely retires with a missed reception that was tipped to KC for the victory.

This thread is stupid... Reid's first year with a HOF caliber QB and we lost in OT... It sucks, but the overreaction by some of you suck more.
excellent post. There are a lot of morons with a password.

Actually, there are several, Mr. FringeNC.

First off, Wally knows damn well that our QB cannot last an entire season if we continue to allow him to be savaged by blitzes and stunts and dogs and amoebas. No QB means no offense. Wally will fix the o-line and protection issues. He'll have to ... since every team we'll see forever will now use that scheme against Mahomes.

Second off, you don't get this close and lose like that without realizing your defensive backfield and ILBs suck the ass. That will get fixed and Clark will make sure Veach fixes it. Wally won't have the ability to veto that change, even if he wanted to.

Third off, this was Mahomes' first damn season. (Some people are acting like he's in his last year of eligibility.) He learned a lot this year and will have an entire season of film to self-scout and evaluate. He'll improve. For example, he'll take fewer sacks in the RZ.

I can think of more reasons, too.

Tony Romo was in the booth predicting with surprising accuracy what the Patriots were going to do next. Granted, knowing what someone's going to do is different from stopping them from doing it, but I'm not sure Andy recognized what Romo saw.

Y'all might need to hire Romo.

Yep, it could be a lot worse. Can Reid take the next step? Probably not. He may be too loyal. You have to have a cold, calculating ability to fire people to beat a guy like Bill Belicheck.

Hopefully him and Brady retire soon. After that, it will be a lot more wide open.
