***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

RBs (as well as every other position on the field) have had their dominant years and then fizzled out.

Larry Johnson had two of the most dominant back-to-back seasons a RB's ever experienced; does he deserve mention as one of the best ever?

As others mentioned, if you look at Priest's stretch from 02-04 you'd think he'd be Hall-worthy but you have to look at the entire body of work.

And although he has an impressive postseason resume, he was lucky to be on such a great team to allow him the opportunities. Does Vernon Davis deserve mention over Tony Gonzalez because he's had a better playoff showing?
TD was the best player on those Super Bowl teams and that's saying a lot when you had Elway, Zimmerman, Atwater, Sharpe, Rod Smith, Nalen, Tony Jones, Romo, and Neil Smith on that team.

He was right around 400 touches every year for his first 7 years (not including playoffs), and never had less than 300 carries his first 7 years.

So it's just Davis's vagina that forced him out, then?

Makes sense, I suppose. Too bad, because he would have been a worthy addition to the HOF had his labia been made of stronger stuff

Knowmo do you think Portis is HOF worthy?

until then, though, the world of make-believe is where this belongs.
Regular season + playoffs:

EC:
124 games
2322 carries
9827 yards
78 TDs

TD:
86 games
1859 carries
8747 yards
72 TDs

The difference:
38 games
463 carries
1080 yards
6 TDs

That's 28 yards per game at 2.3 yards per carry, and less than one touchdown every 6 games.

To you, the difference between not HOF worthy and rubber stamping his induction yourself is two and a half truly awful seasons.

Clinton Portis, Mike Anderson, Olandis Gary, Rueben Draughns, Tatum Bell....etc. You could put any slapdick in that system and they'd gain yards.

Logevity IS a pretty big deal whether you ball swingers want to admit it or not. Adding playoff numbers comparing Cambell is pretty gay too.

I think what KnowMo is trying to say is that because TD happened to be the DEN-RB Flavor of the Month during the SuperBowls he should get special recognition.

I'm not speaking for the guy, but there's no way to compare what TD did to the others. Yes, others were productive, but they weren't dominating. Portis was close and did well, but the others were just guys that hit numbers.

TD was dominating.

So far this season, Miller, last season's defensive rookie of the year, has 15 sacks (including one Sunday) and 52 tackles. His interception, as well as his touchdown, were firsts for his burgeoning NFL career.

A naturally quick and powerful pass rusher, one of Miller's goals this season was to increase his field awareness, particularly when he drops back in pass coverage. His teammates have seen marked improvement.

"He's 'The Beast,' " defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson said. "He's a multidimensional guy. He can rush the pass, cover the pass and play the run. Whatever you think Von Miller can't do, stop it. He can do it."

Dave wins.

Also, can't wait till they get fist****ed by the Pats or Texans again. They may be able to take Baltimore though.
