Best team in Chiefs history?

Simple Rating System (SRS) is a calculation determining how good a team is, using (1) margin of victory and (2) strength of schedule. A margin of 5/game with an SOS of -0.5 results in an SRS of 4.5.

The Chiefs right now hold the #1 SRS and it's not even close: 12.3, Rams 9.5, Saints 8.3, Pitt 7.5. Chiefs have finished with the #1 SRS in their Leafue only ONE TIME in 59 years. When was it?

(Note: 1969-1969 we had 10 AFL teams, 1970-1995 about 26 post merger, and 1995-on 32 teams)

I never cared for Gannon even less now . I went to ever game that season and the playoff game against Denver , no way was grbac the better QB . Hell he left here and went to the ravens and quit on them, that was the type of guy he was .Gannon would have taken us all the way that year, Gannon was way stronger mentally than grbac

You are going to be fighting too much captain hindsight on this one. I agree with you and have fought the Grbac/Gannon myth around here for years.

Just to be clear, I never said Grbac was better.

I said it didn't matter who the QB was on that team. And that's true to this day.

03 better than SBIV winner? Don't think so.
qb
HOF vs above average
oline
03 bestest in history!!!
TE
03 Gonzo may have been best player on team
A TE is your best player
WR
Otis Taylor
Defense
lol
K
push
Punter
69 wilson
Ret game
03
The best oline led to zero SBs.

PS
RB 03

Strams chiefs could win anytime they took the field and I felt they would. I hate to admit this but I think 03 was a bit smoke and mirrors. Strams chiefs physically dominated AND outschemed teams

Forgot to mention that those old teams were also half the size and half as fast as what we have now. Athletes in general are better in every sport. Mostly because of the $$$.

Which means to compare you have to see how a team was in relation to its peers not compared across eras. And sos may be a good stat but not end all. More teams = more bad teams.
