Peters Suspended

One game. Per Andy.

Summary from Andy (paraphrase) : Best for organization. Talked to Peters. Difficult to do as I like Peters.

Sorry that narrative doesn't fit here. Gross oversimplification. There's more involved that's been posted here and elsewhere Ad nauseam. But mainly, Peters left the field during a game. NOT something you see in the NFL. NOT something Kelce ever did. And then he came back without his socks, which violates NFL game day uniform rules & keeps him off the field. Huge embarrassment to the team and franchise. Kelce ABSOLUTELY would have been suspended if he had left the field during a game. But he didn't. To say that the team's actions were related to race in any way is either deceitful or misinformed.

Add in Peter's attitude, penalties, fighting with the DC, anthem issue, recent poor performance/lack of effort and you get disgruntled fans. Even then, you still have some fans supporting him. And some of those fans have posted here. Aside from the few racists out there, no Chiefs' fan wants to see a good, starting player (at a position of weakness) misbehave and get in trouble. Regardless of race. Fans want to see their team win. (Alex Smith may be the exception here. )

BTW, NFL coaches are in the business of winning games in a league that consists of primarily black players. A racist HC would not last long in the NFL. Andy Reid has been a HC since 1999.

Not sure if you're new, a mult, troll or what. But I do know that you are wrong about this. And you're looking bad in the process.

Of course, the best case is for him to learn from the suspension and come back to the Chiefs, the player he is capable of being.

I hate losing the experience he has gained but the status quo will not work.

If I'm Veach I'm paying close attention to new coaches/GM's across the league. Get your notes out from the 2017 draft, see which guys you really liked and call the new staff to see if they would like to trade, especially if they are changing schemes.

This worked beautifully with Reggie Ragland. Dorsey would be a good connection to utilize this in Cleveland.

Dont believe I ever saw the KC Chiefs officially say that he was suspended over the throwing of the flag into the stands. If you have the official reason from the Chiefs please post it here.

A bumper crop of good CBs were picked up in 2016 FA. FA can be full of nice surprises and is generally fruitful for the smart GM. Will be praying for Veach.

Nope. It’s typical you can’t tell me how to think attitude. I see it for what it is. Player A doesn’t get suspended by the team while player B does for the same thing. Actually less because Player A was thrown out of the game while player B wasn’t. So the league saw what player A did was worse obviously because he was ejected. Player B wasn’t ejected as has been famously pointed out, but gets suspended by the team. Seems simple as that to me.

Funny thing is all the decent CB’s in the league are black. I can’t think of a white one. So what black free-agent CB worth anything would want to walk into a climate like this??! Only a washout like Revis on chief

You are only seeing what you want to see.

You are missing the part about him leaving the field of play without being ejected.

You obviously don't understand the concept of team.

But go ahead, enjoy your victim bull shit.

Exactly, and you know that has been what Andy has been hoping for all along until he had no choice.

It would be really cool if he comes back mad and focused, wanting to prove he is the best again.

And there is only 1 driving factor when it comes to players going to teams anyway and you know what it is.

CP has gone full-on racist lately. It's unfortunate.

Not the narrative here on CP.

“I made it off of the thing that happened on Sunday,” Reid said. “That was it.”

Every team has $$$$. You are the dumbass if you think fanbase/area has nothing to do with F/A decisions. This is a real bad look for the Chiefs as a franchise. Maybe not to you, maybe not to the league, but to other black players in a predominantly black league it looks horrible. So white chocolate can throw his towel at an official, dance like a fool, and have a potato sack race and that’s all good. But the brotha with all-pro talent dares to express his frustration and gets suspended by the team. Not the league, the team. The NFL has to suspend Gronk for his WWE move. You think Belechik would have intervened when the NFL didn’t????
