Hollywood is bringing back 'The Lone Ranger' in 2012!
As my avatar suggests the Lone Ranger was a boyhood hero of mine.

Clayton Moore perhaps could never be dethroned as the best Lone Range EVER. Hokey as their episodes are I can still watch the old lone Ranger and Tonto galloping on Silver and Scout to help the oppressed.

That said, for a few years now, I have had this idea that we needed a Hollywood remake that adults would enjoy too. One that would get a Batman treatment for a darker, edgier Lone Ranger. This Lone Ranger would shoot to kill, instead of just shooting the guns out of the bad guys' hand. I really hope that Hollywood will not cop out on this.

Thoughts?.... Cast suggestions.

Damn, I loved Lone Ranger reruns as a kid. He should be wearing white, and Tonto should look like an Indian, not some voodoo KISS princess.

Here's another thing ... guys like the Lone Ranger and Green Lantern and Robin (of Batman fame) and Green Hornet wear that kind of mask. I'm not sure, but I honestly think that, unless I didn't know who they were so I couldn't recognize them, I could tell who the dude was.
