I discount Andy and Clark (Veach is a patsy) making the harder-right decisions if it means upsetting people they've friended. They only do that when the fans force their hand and make the harder-right much less hard than what was the easier-wrong. They simple can't be Kraft and BB "like" when that's exactly what they need to be more like.

So we can draft talent, or pickup previously not-bad talent (especially on D), and with their overall mentality turn them into the 31st worst D in the league. But we're going to need a Willie Roaf-era OL to keep PH off a stretcher. And hell, even the Roaf-era OL didn't keep the pretty-much pure pocket QB off the medical stretcher.

I'm just saying that PH's life span might not be that of Tom-Terrific based on how many times he has to bail out of the pocket. Granted, he's a master, second to none, when he's out there, but the law of averages aren't in his favor in terms of a 20 year career because of how much he bails (willingly or otherwise).
