Meh, they know conservatives are in such disarray because of not having much of any sense of "team" that liberals will stay in power for quite a long time. Conservative have nobody but ourselves to blame because we're rather inflexible, can't agree on a platform or a candidate, and too many aren't willing to vote for the GOP candidate in the primaries they didn't want to see on the ticket.

So I get it, they have no reason to not only ne confident, but cocky too. ANd they know, if needed, they can always rig an election if need be, like they did in 2016. Unless you're willing to believe 81M really voted for him.
