BTW way, a type of positioning technique is to juxtapose another object, thing, or idea with what you are promoting in order to create an association or comparison in the mind of that object, thing or idea with your product or service. One can position against something too. That would be negative positioning.
People compare things in their minds that's why it's used.

For example: Comparing a moisturizing cream with the skin of a baby. Or with dew drops. Thus, using the words "nuke" your food associates that with incinerated bodies, protective body gear that is worn when working in a nuclear plant and/or nuclear meltdowns. I can't understand why people use it is all.

I was trying use sarcastic humor. But never mind!

And none of that has anything to do [except in the sense that the laws of physics and electromagnetism is all related] with nuclear power.

There was none in the post he responded to. I already knew how the MW worked. I was commenting on people who called it "nuking their food" conjuring up other images.

Hey let me tell everyone that microwaving your food takes away nutrients, be wrong about that, and then go off on a totally different tangent to make people think I am not wrong.

I like your juxtaposition.

One example below:
We called our running game in the late 90s, UGB for up Grunny's butt because our RBs ran into the lineman's asshole and started pushing.

The Chiefs never advertised on that.

This is the stupidest disagreement ever. What are microwave manufacturers supposed to do 'Hey, don't say that!!' It's not like it was slander, people who said 'nuke your dinner' were overwhelmingly satisfied users, unlike Chiefs fans.

It's not my juxtaposition I was talking about. It was those who use "nuking" when using a microwave that juxtaposed it.

Are you looking for a fight? If this is going to get nasty after I said you go your way and do your thing and I'll do mine then that's on you. Okay?

However, I gave you a link of a health site that shows different studies and the mixed results on different veggies if you wanted it. There's also a study from Scandinavia and one from Japan. There's conflicting facts is what I said earlier and I'll abide by my healthcare provider and play it safe.

I wasn't making it a disagreement anymore. That was many pages ago before my comment on positioning. ( which I felt had to be explained. ) I just explained to you that I was trying to use sarcastic humor because it didn't make sense to say, "nuking food" for such a gentle heating method to cook food.

It's just weird to call it advertising. 'Unbidden but unopposed characterization' maybe.

On the other hand, people today discovered that the kitty that is "Hello Kitty" turns out NOT to be a kitty to the dismay of its fan base.

Tokyo (AFP) – Hello Kitty is not a cat, the company behind Japan’s global icon of cute insisted Thursday, despite an uproar from Internet users who spluttered: “But she’s got whiskers!”

Its brand owner Sanrio said:
"Hello Kitty is not a cat. She’s a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat. She’s never depicted on all fours. She walks and sits like a two-legged creature.”

DEAR BUCEYEDPEA: WHILE YOUR PARTICIPATION AND COMMENTS IN THIS THREAD IS ADMIRABLE, YOUR COMPLETE LACK OF ANY PHOTOS, RECIPES, AND DESCRIPTION OF DINNERS YOU HAVE EATEN IS TRULY PISS POOR!

This is a thread about 'WHAT'S FOR DINNER, HERE'S MINE", not you posting 42 comments condemning a pot pie recipe or why some chili dish from a 7-11 is the best or you having a tit-for-tat argument with someone.

GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
