Which CB, other than PP, is Veach going to trade for?

It seems very probable that Veach is going to trade for a CB before the season starts.

Who do you think is a realistic option and Veach is going to trade for? Who would you prefer?

I would think a trade with the Vikings is likely as they look to have 5 starting CBs on their roster right now. So Rhodes? Waynes?

I'm actually pretty excited about that defense. There is only the CB position to sort out really.

I know it's been discussed some in the PP thread by the way.

Not a bad idea. Fuller isn't a star but he's dependable and our cornerback depth chart is shit after this season.

Traded for Ward in the preseason last year.

I think a similar move could be made, maybe with a more proven guy, somewhere between Ward's level and the more high profile guys that keep getting thrown around.

Like someone already mentioned, we are going to have some talent at receiver left over that could be intriguing for some team. Same with D-line, imo. Someone like Tanoh could be flipped for a corner with upside.

So, his total base salary amount didn’t change even though we added a year to the deal?

So, he had to get an 11m signing bonus.

That should have cleared up 5m in 2019 cap space.

That leaves us with somewhere around 30m in cap space.

I'm as pessimistic and cynical as they come but even I can't imagine Veach just sitting on all that cap space with no plan in place.

I read somewhere they made his 19 and 20 salaries guaranteed. That must be how they did it.
