He's a young QB, guys

The guy is 23. Tom Brady was still being forced to suck Drew Bledsoe's dick at that age. Peyton Manning was throwing more INTs than TDs.

We're going to be fine. Mahomes is going to be ****ing way better than fine.

Pat probably didn't see that at Texas Tech once.

Wasnt a smart play. And the 2 sack/strips were bad movement in the pocket; the first was especially egregious.

But in the end, who ****ing cares? He was the reason we were in that game. His B- effort wa damn near 500 yards and 6 scores. His 'bad games' have all been Ws or some kind of heroic effort that came up a bit short because of an ill-advised rookie vapor lock or 2. Oh well. This is a heck of a 'shit happens' game...

Spot on analysis.

Mahomes thinks he is Superman.

You're Batman, kid. There is nothing wrong with that.

Just be Batman.

Mahomes has to be Superman with Bob Sutton’s shitfest defense.

Sure Mahomes held on to the ball too long/waiting for the big play on some of those turnovers, but I’ll take that any day over Alex Smiff completing 70 bubble screens for 12 yards.

Half of our problem is Mahomes has been SO good we just want him to go the extra 10% and be completely impervious to failure, year one be damned.

We are already victims of our own success.

Patience is a virtue and the long game will be much sweeter in the end.

I mean Mahomes did have a comeback winning drive at the end, but giving 2 and a half minutes was way too much time. Then he just couldn't do it for a 7th time that game. The pressure is always on him to score, if we punt more than a few times it feels like we are going to lose.

Was anyone questioning this?

I know he made mistakes but this was his 12th start in the NFL.

I mean that "pick six" was ludicrous happenstance, too.

We might never see a play like that again in the NFL. That was a culmination of cosmically improbable events in the span of 1 second.

Pat was just trying to make a play on the last one. He missed Conley out on the right sideline, all alone for a 10+ yard play that would have put us in FG range. He's young, clock was under 1 minute, he was thinking " WIN", not a tie. He's young, he will learn that taking what the defense gives you and save the desperation plays for later.

Look, what would this game be like with Alex?

Everybody needs to chill out, that was a very entertaining game. We are in "GOOD HANDS WITH MAHOMES " and the years to come.

Now, let him learn by his mistakes, as well as the team! There was plenty of blame to go around from penalties, blown coverages, not able to block for Pat, coaches, play calling, not challenging the one catch before a Rams TD, and the so called " ALL STAR OFFICIALS " that seemed to be one sided for the most part and missed several calls, most of all the noted catch above and the illegal procedure on the RT on the 3rd & goal Goff TD run.

A lot of shit happened in a very entertaining game!

Just enjoy it!

Nobody is perfect!

12th game. Historic numbers. Ridiculously young. If any of you ****ers even remotely complain about this kid, I never want to hear any of you talk about other teams' bandwagon fans, or other teams' fans who feel entitled, or any of that shit. Your team has sucked balls for a long time and choked in the playoffs and you have a kid who is so ridiculously talented he's setting records. And, honestly, most of the "mistakes" he made last night weren't even his fault (that one-handed tip-ball pick-six was more of a great defensive play IMO).

There are 31 other teams who would love to have Mahomes. And I include my Patriots in that group. People keep comparing him to Favre but Mahomes is already light-years better and look at the career Favre had. Favre's best year was 39 TDs; Mahomes already has 37. Favre's best QB rating in a year was 107.2 (and all the others were below 100); Mahomes has a rating of 118. If in the first playoff game this kid throws up 9 picks, you should still get on your knees and give thanks you have him.

Let's put some work in on those late game situational drives. Talking under a minute on your 20/25 with no time outs and needing the score to tie/win kind of drive.

It's ok to criticize a bad decision. He played a great game and lost focus on the fact only a FG was needed.
