So with the NFL contract inflations (due in large part to Al Davis), that is like $500,000 above cap in 2003, right?

I wish we would have done something like this with Dorsey and Albert since we did not use the rest of our cap money. That would make it easier to sign kids next year and on, as well as cut one had they been a typical hiefs 1st round pick.

We did. Their base salaries in 2008 were $295,000.

Albert had a signing bonus of $2,500,000 and other bonuses of $6,683,750 for a total salary of $9,478,750 and cap value of $4,798,750.

Dorsey had a bonus of $6,638,250 for a total salary of $6,933,250 and a cap value of $2,395,000.

A QB would have to go to 5 Pro-Bowls to be of comparable worth to Chris Snee.

Unless that QB is the son-in-law of his team's head coach.

Not to change the subject... But, other than a 5 year deal as the highest paid GM in the league, does anybody know any details of his contract?

Why? Who cares? It is not your money and it has no impact on how much can be spent on players.

And to think, during Ben's rookie season I asked his grandma if he had a suite at the stadium. She said "Just a small one. He doesn't have much money".

after attempting to play football in the snow yesterday with some friends, and all of us nearly collapsing after about 3 minutes of play, i have decided that i will never again complain about a professional football player making too much money.
