This Week's Important Florida News!

Two Boffo Stories:

Story One: Man arrested for giving wicked wedgies, or snuggies, or melvyns, or whatever you call pulling the underwear over a nerd's head.

Story Two: Fifty Year Old School Teacher Gets Tanked on Cheap Wine, wrecks her van, offers to blow the cop if he lets her go.

Florida, I love you. You're just so fun!

Story #1:
Charles Ross is known for orchestrating outrageous pranks and posting them to Youtube. But this time, the 18-year-old prankster may have gone a step too far.

Ross was arrested for battery Sunday night after he allegedly gave a series of wedgies to moviegoers outside the Carmike Royal Palm 20 in Bradenton, Fla., while a friend filmed the prank, the Bradenton Herald reports.

The underwear prank, which Gawker calls a "wedgie spree," ended badly for Ross when a 20-year-old male victim reported to authorities that Ross grabbed him "by the back of his pants and pulled them up hard," according to the Smoking Gun. Although other victims of the schoolyard prank also came forward, the 20-year-old is the only one seeking charges.

On his Youtube channel, Ross has uploaded video footage of him performing a variety of pranks -- from doing handstands over people to trying out pick-up lines -- but the latest in his compilation is by far one of his most hands-on public displays.

According to the police report obtained by the Smoking Gun, Ross challenged the male victim following the wedgie, "asking if he wanted to hit him."

The Mantee County Sheriff's Office arrested Ross and detained him overnight. He was released on $750 bail, records show, and his court date is set for Feb. 14.

Though Ross' wedgie spree was meant in jest, this is not the first time someone has been arrested for doling out the uncomfortable underwear gag. In 2006, an Albany, N.Y., teacher was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly giving a 10-year-old student a wedgie during summer school.

Story #2:
'A' for effort?
Middle school math teacher Mary Maloney allegedly offered oral sex to a police officer after being nabbed for a hit-and-run in Palm Beach County, Fla.

Maloney, 53, was arrested Sunday after she crashed her van into a pickup truck around 8:35 p.m., then took off, according to an arrest report obtained by the Sun Sentinel. A witness to the crash tracked Maloney's car to a parking spot and then called police.

The arresting officer said he found an empty gallon jug of wine behind Maloney's driver's seat and "immediately smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her person," according to WPTV. The report states that her eyes were glassy, bloodshot, and partially closed.
The officer that drove Maloney to the police station noted that she asked him "How much do I need to pay you to just let me go? Don't you understand I am a school teacher?"

She then allegedly offered to perform oral sex on him and allow him to fondle her breasts.

Maloney was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with damage, resisting an officer without violence, driving with a suspended license and attempted bribery of a public servant.

In dramatic video posted to social media, a bloodied man is seen clinging to the hood of a semi truck as it barrels down a Florida highway.

The bizarre incident started shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, when the Florida Highway Patrol got a call about a disoriented white male abandoning his vehicle on an exit ramp near Boynton Beach, the Daily Mail reported.

The man then jumped the concrete divider between the turnpike's southbound and northbound sides, causing traffic to slow.

Edward Hughes, a truck driver, told TMZ that he saw the man frantically waving for him to stop. Hughes did, concerned that the man was covered in blood, but he instead jumped onto the hood of the semi tractor-trailer and started bashing the windshield with a metal object.

In a panic, Hughes said he hit the gas, trying to shake the man off. The man remained latched onto the hood for almost nine miles, the Daily Mail reported.

Police were able to pull the truck over and take the man into custody. He was taken to Wellington Regional Hospital for evaluation, authorities said.

No reason has yet been given for the man’s strange behavior. The Highway Patrol did not say if the man or the truck driver would be charged.

Hey man, if you're gonna be a squatter, might as well go for it!
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. —

A homeless man in Florida allegedly stole up to $1,200 of merchandise and food while living in the luxury suite of a Tampa Bay soccer stadium for over two weeks, police said.

Daniel Albert Neja, 39, was arrested earlier this week when an employee of AI Lang Stadium found blankets in the luxury suite. The stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer club.

Neja stole up to $1,000 worth of merchandise from the team store as well as $200 worth of food items, according to St. Petersburg police spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez.

"He got into the merchandise store and was wearing a bunch of team merchandise," Fernandez told CNN. "He made himself quite at home there."

Using surveillance footage, police determined that Neja had been living in the luxury suite since July 26. Neja was arrested shortly after officers got to the stadium, according to Fernandez.

"While the officers were there, one of the employees spotted him and went into the stadium, and officers caught up with him right outside the stadium and he was wearing the same clothing and everything," Fernandez said.

Neja was arrested on charges of third-degree felony burglary and a first-degree misdemeanor of resisting an officer without violence and his bond is currently set at $5,150, according to jail records.

It's not clear whether Neja has legal representation at this time.

Fernandez said that something as unusual as this would not happen under normal circumstances.

"It's very unusual and it's the sort of thing that probably would only happen during Covid, because under normal circumstances that stadium would be full of people, and luxury suites would be in use and cleaned regularly," she said.

The Tampa Bay Rowdies play in the USL Championship, the second-tier U.S. soccer league behind Major League Soccer. The current club was founded in 2008 but it shares its name and logo with the original Tampa Bay Rowdies, which were formed in 1975 and played in the now-defunct North American Soccer League. The original team folded in 1994.

The original team was the first professional sports franchise in the Tampa Bay area, according to the club's website, and "remain one of the most recognizable and well-loved brands in soccer."

Al Lang Stadium seats 7,227 and located in downtown St. Petersburg along the city's waterfront. Built in 1947, it was originally a baseball stadium but was renovated into a soccer-specific stadium by the Rowdies.

Officials elected to not press charges because they felt that wearing soccer merchandise for a month was punishment enough.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida father says he doesn't understand why his fifth-grade son was asked to remove his Hooters-themed face mask at school.

He says his son has been wearing it for weeks.

"There is nothing offensive or derogatory about this mask," Greg Golba said.

Golba and his 11-year-old son, Ian, don't understand why he had to remove his Hooters mask on Tuesday.

"I don't think it's offensive at all, it's just a restaurant," Greg Golba said.

The fifth grader says his teacher at Sunset Park Elementary School in Windermere said something about it.

"I wore it and she said it was not appropriate for school and I asked her why and she said if you really want to know why, go ask the principal," Ian Golba said.

So, that's what Ian did.

"He told me to take it off three times and I asked him why, he said just take it off, so I took it off and I had to wear a different mask," Ian Golba said.

Ian put on a second mask that he had, but his father says he's worn the Hooters mask for four weeks and was only told twice to remove it.

The district does not comment on discipline matters but says the Hooters mask violates the dress code, which says in part:

"The principal at each school reserves the right to determine what appropriate dress is for the school ..."

Ian's father says Ian planned to wear his mask on Wednesday and remove it if they ask him.

Florida couple arrested for having sex inside car on busy road, authorities say

https://www.foxnews.com/us/florida-c...broad-daylight

A Florida couple gave droves of drivers on a busy road near Tampa quite the peep show over the weekend.

Amber Gormley, 39, and Shawn McClelland, 30, were arrested Saturday after pulling over to the side of the road in the area of Whitney Road and US Highway 19 North in Largo to engage in sexual activity, authorities say.

According to an affidavit obtained by Fox News, it happened in an "open area location of a busy area where all drivers could see them having intercourse."

At one point, a driver even witnessed McClelland "on top of the female performing oral sex on her," according to an affidavit.

McClelland later confessed to engaging in the act with Gormley.

Both have since been charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition, a felony.

McClelland was also charged with possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.
