Eh. It's really a case of why most backs cut block. There's no real scenario in which he can block Lee no matter what he does. He's just way too small and Lee has too much momentum to stop.

I started following Lee right after the Chiefs announced he was coming to KC and he was SO excited about it.

I agree if he plays like this again sign that dude long term. He looks like DJ out there.

Yeah, that was a pretty unfair spot to put Thompson in.

How often is a guy really going to get through that clean. Sure, it can happen sometimes, but not usually with the dude running a straight line like that; there's usually a turn or something that bleeds off momentum. Or the guy has to jump a leg or something on the way through the line. It's pretty rare that a LB just gets to take a 2 stride sprint clean into a RB like that.

And pretty much anytime it happens, you're gonna see a bad result for the RB.

Every time I watch Darwin run the ball I think he’s a blend of Kareem Hunt (Balance, vision, ability to fight through tackles and finish runs) and Jamaal Charles (Smaller stature, speed, acceleration, elusiveness)

Damien needs to have an impressive game 3 or Darwin should be given the opportunity to be the starter

I think they need each other and complement well at this point.

Split carries in the first 3 quarters. Go to Thompson more in the 4th to protect leads and grind out yards to kill the clock.

Him wearing that #25 makes me think of Charles every time I see him get the ball. And when he bounces off a tackler and keeps running I think of Hunt.
