Dan Patrick is a ****ing moron

First off, for those of you that don’t watch/listen to the DP show, he’s been hating on Mahomes all year.

He just had Dungy on who was saying the best two teams in the AFC by far are the Chiefs/Pats.

Dan says he thinks the Chargers are better than us because they have a better overall team.

When the **** is the national media going to realize that we own the Chargers? I can’t think of any other team that could possibly dominate another like we have the Chargers yet still be so disrespected when people talk about the two.

If Keesum wasn't terrible, they beat the Chiefs as well.

I'm a chargers fan and would like to believe that but I feel it's a load of crap. The chargers are the same football team they've always been. Rivers is in the stage of his career where the staff is trying to protect him by running the ball more but that only works against piss poor defenses. Melvin Gordon isn't a legit tailback. Chargers probably lead the league in negative offensive plays. Rivers lack of mobility always gets him in trouble in close games in obvious passing downs. The defense is nothing special. Bosa will be back at some point but I just don't think the chargers can score enough. I think the chargers and chiefs could play 10 times with their current rosters and chiefs would win 9 of them.

Chiefs D is horrendous except for when it counts, 3rd down. Right now they can't stop the run at all but have some players coming back and should get better. This team might seem a lot like the Vermeil Chiefs but to me they're quite a bit different. Vermeil's chiefs were primarily a running team. They ran the ball and ran play action off that. Trent Green never excelled in extending plays on obvious passing downs or running a 2 minute offense when the threat of the run was eliminated. But this current chiefs team can score from anywhere on the field in any situation. I think they're most like the '99-'01 Rams in that the only way they will lose is by turning the football over because no team can keep up with their offense unless they gain extra possessions.

He hates us, that much is certain. But his producer will have figured out by now that "Mahomes" is wall street jargon for "ratings".

Colin Cowherd

Just saw Cowherd's 'Herd Hierarchy' top 10 for the week on youtube. He has the Chiefs at 5. Which is fine. Basically calls the defense garbage, which is fine as well.

But then he goes on to say Mahomes is now throwing multiple picks in a game as a reason for the low rank and tries to re-ignite the 'gunslinger' narrative. Dude is so out of touch with reality and the audience. I bet if barber shops, car dealerships and hospitals stop playing ESPN and FS1 on mute or low volume, these reeruns would have zero ratings.

I'm hoping for no more than 1 pick in the next game. You can't blame people for saying something that is technically true. He's thrown multiple picks in two games. I'd like that to stop.

No shit. And yes I can blame him, this is a Chiefs message board, I have a right to be irrationally mad at a talking head for talking shit about my players.

I would imagine the likelihood of picks increases as your QB knows he has to score on every drive because the Defense is hot garbage.

the overall 'pick' number doesn't bother me that much. Where/when in the game the picks occur do.
I think both the picks int he SNF game he can learn from. particularly the 1st one with Hightower.

the other, he was trying to make a play, but you gotta be a little more composed at that area of the field, the point in the game, and the score. Again, I' think he'll learn from this. it's not like he's Brodie Croyle out there doing consistent dumb shit with the ball and and making bad reads.

I'm not worried about Pat at all. because when he's on and not too geeked up for the game and making correct reads, he's money all day. I'll take a 3TD 1INT stat line all day.
