Reid is 11-3 against the Chargers since becoming head coach of the Chiefs, and 2 of those losses came in 2013. His TD to INT ratio is 20-23

Oh, well no one got it because your point kind of sucks. Rivers doesn't mean shit for the Colts long term. He's a serviceable stopgap at best. The Colts have an excellent GM, coach, and roster and if they get their QBOTF lined up soon they'll easily be the biggest pain in the Chiefs asses in the future. Wouldn't be shocked if they made a move for Prescott when the Cowboys are done playing tag with him.

And the third came on a Thursday night after a brutal OT win against Baltimore.

I've always believed that we lost that game to the Ravens, but the Chargers got the win.

Who said anything about the future?

For this season, they have Rivers as their QB. I don’t worry about them in the least for that reason alone.

If they get an elite level QB, then sure they’ll be good. That’s a pretty big “if” though. Whiff on that once, and you won’t contend for at least 3-4 years.

Not too many teams transition from franchise QB to franchise QB. Luck quitting probably killed the Colts for the near term. Their best bet of getting a franchise QB is to draft high, which they won’t likely do employing solid but not spectacular stopgaps every year.

I think Mahomes might have also ****ed those mid tier teams for awhile too.

Think about all the teams kicking themselves for passing on him. You might see more teams take chances on the “raw” high ability guys early in the draft. It’ll also probably take that much more to trade up for one.

It’s just such a crap shoot. Look at Trubisky and Wentz. Only one of them is even good and he can’t stay on the field consistently enough. He has a ring that he got courtesy of his backup.

I’m trying to think of teams that went straight from a franchise QB to another. The Colts kind of did but both Manning and Luck were #1 overall picks.

The only one I can really think of that did without giving up a ton of draft capital is Green Bay. The chances of Indy landing a franchise QB just aren’t that great.
