The reason Thompson has a roster spot is for ST.

He showed last night (again) that he's a liability there.

The guy should be done at this point.

Like DJ said, you don't need a reason to cut him, you need a reason to KEEP him. There aren't any good reasons at this point. He was individually responsible for 7 points and a turnover.

His value is theoretically on special teams but man - you're gonna just crank the ball into the end-zone most of the time so his value there is already limited. And as a gunner you have Pringle and Kemp.

Guessing going into the season his value over Washington was on special teams and hoping that he would take a couple steps forward as a RB.

I am guessing they wanted to keep all 4, Williams was the clear backup. Probably guessed that Darwin would not clear waivers or take a practice squad deal with KC while Wshington would.
