Chiefs agree to trade Alex Smith to Washington

Now you wait until March 14th for it to become official...

Yes we would. He’s Kirk Cousins, who is Tony Romo, who is 2017 Alex Smith aka good stats but can’t handle pressure and win anything that matters.

Derek Carr has the 9th worst yards per pass attempt in NFL history and he had the most loaded offense in the conference the last 2 years.

He’s currently the most overrated player in the NFL with his price tag.

Spoiler!

He (Clay) needs to go have a domestic violence session with new his sex doll then he may (may) look at Smith in a rational manner. Right now Clay is like the scorned ex wife who took the Frontier Communications stock in the divorce.

Smith was not all things to all people, could have done better, but I think the guy earned his paychecks.

I will be watching out of the corner of my eye to see what he does on Sundays. I think we maybe surprised how much of this comes back to the Chiefs...losing Ware and Barry certainly had both sides of the line lacking, but few QB's (loud cough) have gone very far with the #32 defense in the league.

So 2-5 in the playoffs is disgusting and abysmal, and 2-4 in the playoffs is damn good. . .

It truly is a game of inches.

That's what I'm getting at.

He deserved to be paid a backup's salary for two seasons and then dumped unceremoniously when we had the opportunity to draft Derek Carr.

Smith had a year left on his contract when he was extended, at $7.5m.

THAT is what he is worth.
That is YOUR opinion of what he is worth. People who actually have a clue about NFL player value and get paid to give those players contracts think he is and was worth more. Your dumb ass is the only one who thinks he was overpaid. I'll go with the experts opinions. Not the guy who is always wrong.

Like Andy Reid? Who gave Mike Vick a $100 million contract?

Or the Redskins? Who's only accomplishment over the past decade is hilariously overpaying players?

Pull the other one.

Specifically, he wasn't worth it because we could have had him for 7.5 million in 2014 (instead of $19 million), and then after he failed to throw a TD to a WR, negotiated a FAR cheaper deal.

But we didn't. Because Chiefs.

I’d look for a new QB if Pat became Romo. We are trading away Romo for hopefully something better in Pat.

Romo was asked to do a lot more than smith in carrying Jerry disaster of a cowboys team but in terms of playoff wins, there weren’t a lot.

But I also don’t think 7 games and 6 games is much of a sample size nor do I feel from watching both QBs they were similar.

Both QBs are pretty underrated around here

You really need to temper your expectations.

Tony Romo was 13-3 with 38 total TDs his first full season starting.

And Alex threw 26 TD’s and only 5 INT’s this year. I don’t care what his stats are. Romo had top 10 defenses a handful of times and won nothing just like Alex.

The Chiefs can’t afford to pay top dollar for a QB that doesn’t get it done after years of trying and a good defense.

You basically aren't going to be happy unless he's a hall of famer, is the vibe I'm picking up on here.
