What kind of DL do we even want?

Smaller penetrating undertackles?

Gigantic, powerful two-gappers?

True nose tackles? Pass rush specialists?

I can’t figure out Sutton’s scheme and I have no idea what *kind* of DL the Chiefs will even be targeting.

Seems his scheme calls primarily for two-gappers with a microscopic bit of pass rush ability thrown in, but not a whole **** of a lot. I think the Chiefs have a few guys better suited as one-gappers, but eh...

There doesn't seem to be some constant to pin your hat on either.
I think what you'll see below is a bunch of baseline guys with 33-34" arms that happen to have decent acceleration off the ball.

We need to find a big, strong DL with long arms and a huge strong base. Chris Jones was the perfect type and he’s fit in great.

Adam Gotsis in Denver and Stephon Tuitt in Pitt are great examples.

We actually just saw one yesterday in Jordan Phillips. Miami was clogging running lanes bc that guy is a monster of a man that we couldn’t move.

Need to get one of these guys badly bc Nacho and Bailey are too small.

Our best pass rusher isn't what he was, and we have little else at OLB.

I think we need more guys like Chris Jones.

A plus NT would be a big boost.

Star's younger brother is the usual 0 tech fatty that Sutton needs. Will be a late 3-4th rounder.

Would be a major fan of adding him and RJ McIntosh to the DL.
