Homeless? (clearing throat) does this need defining since a news station is promoting the **** out of what could have been a great mention. It was great PR for Allen and the Chiefs, now has a local news station milking the bejezus out of it, and the guy is most noted for being homeless but has a couple of grand worth of tickets to a game..but is sleeping in a less than adequate Suburban

Accolades to Allen for thanking the guy for doing what's right and giving him AFCC tickets. Homeless or not.

How far would a pair of Player's seats to the AFCC game go towards this guy not being homeless by game time?

I was homeless for a stretch I'd still go to the game if opportunity was there. He can turn his life around when he wants maybe that will inspire him. Maybe it's a choice to be homeless I don't know he probably got kicked when he was down but this is cool as **** story and I hope he goes to the game. It could open up job opportunities for him. Getting noticed job offers will come.

Hey dipshit, I bet he gets more help once this story airs. Likely a GoFundMe, community support and very likely the Chiefs do more for this guy than just give him tickets after hearing this story.

Yes Lewdog, There are people who will send money to almost anyone for any reason. I'll sit back and wait for the background check on Dave with no last name before I'd endorse doing so. Go ahead get out that AMEX card and make asizable donation through Steven Dial's Twitter page

Jeff Allen did the right thing by giving the man tickets as a thank you. KSHB turning it into a Human Interest Story was over the top.

Warning!!! autostart with sound

Spoiler!

If I were homeless, I would be making dollars out of those tickets instead of hoping that a gofundme secures me a place to live for the winter.

Once again, Accolades for Jeff Allen but IMHO Dave with no last name was probably out on the roads pulling out stuck people for $$$$

After seeing Dave, I can't wait to see what Ms.with no name (refered to as "Ol' Lady") looks like.

That, and stupid as well. A suburban is more than adequate to sleep in. When the seats are all folded down there's a ton of room in the back of one.

I was referring to comments earlier that there were better years to own a Suburban, not if a Suburban was adequate for sleeping in..

Nice to know we have members who are knowledgeable of sleeping in trucks in sub freezing conditions.

I don't know about suburbans..but it's common knowledge the 95-98 trucks are rock solid.

Allen was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Illinois by the Chiefs. He spent his first four years with the Chiefs before signing with the Houston Texans and playing there the last two years. Allen returned and joined the Chiefs midseason in 2018 and has appeared in 10 games, starting in four of them this season. He has started 40 of the 54 games in both stints with Kansas City.

Pops has nearly the same, even the same color scheme, but it's been a headache since it was new. His 71 Custom Camper and 84 Caprice Classic both have twice the miles and both still have twice the engine and half the rust.

Nothing that takes it completely out of service, just a wheezy weakling, comparatively speaking. If it were worse, he could take it down to the block and rebuild it, fixing whatever's wrong. But it's like it have some phantom ailment the just drags it down without ever killing it or taking it out of commission.

All 3 vehicles were bought by gramps new and bought by dad when gramps wanted another new, and dad swears gramps complained about this particular truck from the moment he drove it off the lot.
