This is the first AFCCG in forever, and the first ever at home. Can we have some goddamn peace and quiet around here?

Shouldn't be that much to ask to be able to scroll through a weather thread, get tailgate or ticket updates, or make dinner/travel plans without being buried in NE assholes.

I didn't post here for years but I see some of the same people from back then. Those talkback sections had some legendary moments. Nobody blamed the Star for stopping the madness.

I don't have a problem with Patriot fans posting here.

I have a problem with opposing fans of any team - the Patriots are just the latest - that come here not to talk football but just troll endlessly, to the tune of thousands of posts. It's garbage and it's just not needed. The moderators are volunteers and the server runs on hamster wheels. There's no reason to allow it just because we're a "do whatever you want" community.

Second, I learned how to read sentences as complex as "talk football or be limited to the Romper Room" in like, I don't know, 3rd grade.

Yeah, we're "softer" than we used to be. The internet is a very different place than it was 20 years ago. If you want to hang out with the true dregs of the internet, I'm sure 4-Chan and the like still exist and would welcome new people with open arms.
