I think its in the realm of possibility that we have protected Gronk and has 1-2 games left in him. Hes on clear decline, but it wouldn't shock me if we attempt to pull a sneaky card with everyone thinking Gronk is cooked, and unleash him. However, him having 0-2 catches wouldn't be shocking either.

Given that Gronk basically won the game in October, I don't don't think the Chiefs are going to overlook him.

Honestly, what slowed them down in the 2nd half was linemen committing penalties and Mahomes missing on so long throws. They ended up in 3rd and more than 10 like twice and 3rd and 10 a couple of other times.

As a Pats fan, I can tell you they know how dangerous MAhomes is and have said numerous times that he is the future of the league. They also know how explosive the offense is in general. I'm sure they know this is going to be a bitch of a game to take, especially at Arrowhead. However, I GUARANTEE you, the most important thing the entire Pats organization realizes is the fact that we are on borrowed time with this history making tandem and every single player is going to be 110% ALL IN Sunday working together to get Bill, themselves and most importantly, Tom, another trip to the SB and that chance at another ring.

I think it's going to come down to the weather and how you guys respond to that and if your fans can stay in it with single digits predicted.

I do think it's going to be a great game and good luck to you guys.
On the flip side, the entire Chiefs organization realizes that they haven't been to an AFCCG in 25 years and haven't been to a Super Bowl in 2 years short of FIFTY. If you think the Pats are energized, what do you suppose the Chiefs are?

KC had Shaw (who?) and Parker at Safety due to injury...it's strange the media took a dump on KC's defense when both starters were out for the 1st half of the year.

Berry is back...so I'm not really worried about Gronk. If he was the Gronk of 2 years ago...yes.

Chiefs have 2 former all-pro defensive players in this game...that weren't in the first match-up. That's a pretty big deal...

It would be like the Pats getting McCourty and Hightower back...

Just want to say that as far as game threads, while this one might not be sizzling yet, it has some pretty good meat on the grill. Nobody talks about home field advantage when it comes to the early downs and especially the run game for the opposition. It can be difficult to hear the snap cadence, the noise level can be disorienting, OL don't come off the line as clean and can't dominate guys that are masters of reading the snap and all quick twitch 250-310 lb monsters. I feel like the Sony Michel plan isn't gonna work against us. Did he run for 50 td's this year. No way Brady goes for 4 Td's in his scuba suit.

Shit...I've brought that up multiple times in this thread.

This might be the loudest game in NFL history....it's going to cause NE issues against the #1 ranked pass rush. Colts were 0-9 on 3rd down last week..and Luck was the #2 rated QB behind Mahomes.

NE homers choose to gloss over this...but Arrowhead isn't a normal road stadium..

The energy in that place is going to be crazy....

Arrowhead will be off the charts. In all the games I've been to, I've yet to experience the electricity that the annihilation of the Bills in 91 brought. This absolutely has to be the game that puts that memory in second place for me.

And damnit Chiefs, find a good touchdown song that the crowd can participate int.

Nah...I mean, unless something like a bad knee injury happens..then maybe. Guess it depends what Giselle has to say. Not to say that being a smartass, believe it or not, wives do influence their hubs...and that fam isn't struggling for $ by any means.

Other than that, I don't see it...even if the Chiefs put a ****ing beating on them again. He'll be back next season.

If I had to guess, I say 2020-21 is his last season.

Now BigBen on the other hand...PIT is spiraling out of control right now. No Bell, now Brown wants out of town, if that happens, BigBen will pobably hang them up after next season, possibly this off season depending on what happens....IIRC he had 1 foot kind of already out the door.

PIT losing all of their talent on offense would only tip the scales toward Ben making that decision to hang em up.

"No no. Only the Patriots have something to play for. They are living on borrowed time. Mahomes and Reid are probably treating this like a dress rehearsal for the next 20 years. Brady IS determined. He MUST have a 6th ring. No one has ever beaten Brady when he's really wanted something (all those times he lost he did so on purpose to gain motivation for the next time he REALLY wanted it)." -PatsFan2189629162319

I think TB 12 looks at the road he's likely going to travel after this game next season - if he doesn't get injured, and says to hell with this. I think his lack of mobility comes back to haunt him in this one and he's going to be lucky to leave healthy. HFA is what it is.
