Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

You mean McShay or Kiper.

Mayock will be on him around Senior Bowl time, when it becomes obvious he's a stud, alal Russell Wilson last year.

Mayock is pretty solid in his QB analysis.

Pioli is getting fired.

Precisely.

It's amazing that some of us here have a better grasp of the rookie payscale than the so-called "experts" do.

He actually only had two bad games - Kansas State and Texas Tech. And he still ended up with a QB rating of over 100 for those games.

Matt Cassel's 2012 QB rating is 66.7.

Brady Quinn's 2012 QB rating is 60.8.

Yeah...let's draft a linebacker or an offensive linemen because that will so help this team.

****ing morons. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who isn't full on for Geno Smith as the Chiefs #1 pick should throw themselves into a pit of scorpions.

NFL Live is about to do a piece on the Jacksonville/Tennessee matchup and what teams like those when they're in positions "playing for pride" at the end of the year

I can't wait to laugh at all the reeruned platitudes Damien Woody and all the roided-up former jocks on the show are about to put forth.

Meanwhile the Chiefs will be laughing all the way to the stage at Radio City Music Hall to draft Geno Smith.

I don't even think the Texas Tech game was that bad. Sure he made some mistakes for scouting purposes, but he didn't turn the ball over and if you watch the tape, his WR's dropped some deep balls that hit them in the hands.

You can't possibly expect any QB to score every freaking drive just to keep his team in the game.

Here's a highlight of my favorite Geno Smith game of the 2012 season - WVU vs. Texas.

In Texas, Smith had to play from behind nearly the whole game and the Longhorns were just unloading on him for the entire game. Okafor, who's a potential first round draft choice was just raping the O-line all game long. Geno showed a lot of moxie in this game and made some really big time throws.

College QB rating isn't the same as the NFL.

Just saying.

I love Geno, BTW

And yet, that's basically what Geno had to do nearly every single conference game this season.

At the :50 mark and at about 1:10...he could check it down very easily, but he shows poise and pushes the ball down the field, while making a good decision with the football.

For as much as Geno throws the quick slant at WV, I hope whomever is the OC for the Chiefs will utilize Geno's quick release for some slants, which are imo one of the best offensive plays in football.
