On their final top 100 boards, NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah and Gil Brandt have CB Sean Bunting available at pick #61. Jeremiah has S Juan Thornhill available at pick #63 while Brandt has S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson available at pick #63 and pick #84. Both have TE Dawson Knox available at pick #84. The Chiefs can still add some quality to the roster on day 2 of the draft.

We trade Tyreek and our lowest #2 to move up into the top 10 whilst also receiving a 2020 #2 bonus pick.

I wish we could use the same kind of salary-cap voodoo the Donks used when they had Fivehead and get Patrick Peterson in here.

CB is a big need.
S is not and is much overrated around here. C/G is an underrated need. LB, TE and WR are also needs. And lol at fans who believe this team drafts BPA but other teams do not. As said before, BPA will always take need and positional valur into account. |

You think the Chiefs could afford his contract? Especially with Mahomes needing his massive contract need year. After seeing what Rothlesberger and Wilson were paid you know he's getting more then them. |

CP would make for epic reading if that happened. The Mods would be working OT around here. |

I'd like to think that, but now I'm pretty much 100% sure that this Frank Clark deal was dependent on Reid getting a new toy for HIS side of the ball in a total draft sell-out to get back up, up, up in to round 1.
Yes, we are THAT impractical.

I'm afraid that we're heading down the Bobby Beathard road of drafting here. He traded away his first round pick dang near every year he was GM in San Diego. I have no complaints about losing last year's. Mahomes was worth it. But I don't like it this year. Veach is heading into his second draft and has no first round picks in either draft. He had better be good at finding diamonds on the rough, because his best chance at drafting impact player drops dramatically with no first round pick.

The idea is to grab as much immediate impact as you can before "the window" closes in order to make a run while not loading up on expensive vets with short shelf lives and greater potential for injury. Once Mahomes is signed, some will stay, some will go. But at that point, continuing to trade away 1sts for the above-mentioned type players is no longer feasible. And if he persists in said action, then we know for sure that he's just a scavenger who doesn't trust himself to do the complete job of a General Manager.
