Has your grocery shopping changed with rising prices?

We know food prices are rising fast. Have you changed what/where you buy?

Have you moved from beef to pork to chicken?

Do you substitute items that you used to buy for something else?

Just curious, Stewie

No idea what your situation was at the time or whatever, but $30k/yr should be enough to pay the bills, at the very least, for the vast majority of people who aren't living in Southern California or NYC, etc.

If there's an entitled dishwasher or server out there demanding more than that, then get a better job (which is of course is what is happening).

Start paying minimum wage jobs $50k/year, demand for what people can afford on that salary goes up, prices go up, and what everyone makes relatively goes down... if everyone can afford a 70" TV and $50k car and $300k house, supply won't keep up, the cost of those items goes up until the people making $50k/yr can no longer afford them so that demand goes down... people start outbidding the $300k houses until they're $500k.

You can't just print money for everyone and expect the economy to stay the way it is... and not for the sake of greedy corporations, but supply, demand, and finite resources.

Yeah, and in the world I live in, it certainly appears that a lot of people are going to let all these rich people have their "final say" by not showing up to work for these ****ing slave wages anymore.

They're not paying taxes and they're not worried about the inflation.

They really don't give a flying ****.

That's why all these businesses are closing.

Everywhere is going up but Costco has good quality in bulk that’s a good deal I’m any economy.

I said this earlier, I got 5 steaks in a pack for $48. Each steak was just under a pound.

That’s less than $10 for a 15 ounce steak. That’s damn good

No, you're 100% correct.

But you can't expect the masses to do shit jobs for slave wages forever.

Eventually, we all get tired of earning others' money for them.

Eventually, people get tired of eating the shit that is fed to them.

We're rapidly approaching a saturation point, and this thing will blow over in a totally aggressive way.

We don't have a choice, sir.

No one listened when we told them that this was going to be the result.

What was it Alexis De Tocqueville said? "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money”?

Yeah, this ship is capsizing, it's just so big that no one realizes it yet.

Herein lies the problem. The people at the top aren't the people that are going to suffer.

The type of "peasant revolt" you're talking about is going to hurt their peers and themselves. The rich will always be rich. They have the means to avoid the fallout from your "plan" while the rest of us don't.

So you're going to end up with class warfare at the bottom, neighbor pitted against neighbor, while the top watches and laughs.

As for this: "Eventually, we all get tired of earning others' money for them." You're exactly right but probably not in the sense you are thinking. The middle class isn't going to direct their ire at rich people. They're going to direct their ire at people that are benefitting from an income tax system they're not paying into. Hell, they already do.

The peasants we're talking about aren't educated enough to know the difference between the new Middle class and old Middle class, much less the difference between the bourgeois and the elite

And...they are too stupid and angry to care.

This isn't "my plan", it's just what's happening.

And what better way to strengthen the hold the elites have by basically eliminating the middle classes and the bourgeois, turning them ALL into peasants?

Yes. This is what they do.

Greece...the UK leaving the EU...these things have already been happening over the last 10 years.

You're not wrong. This is true until we collectively realize the enemy is rich people. And you punish the enemy where it hurts them the most - their wallets.

My wife and I make over $100k/year collectively. We live in a shitty apartment for $600 a month and very few luxuries in life. Student loans out the ass. We don't really go out and stick to home-based activities. One vacation every few years. We STILL have a hard time getting by sometimes. Groceries are outrageous right now. Food tax is an insane thing to have. We're still several years away from saving for a home - only if the market crashes, of course.

#facts

That's why social constructs like racism and homophobia are so laughable - they were created and perpetuated to keep people fighting amongst themselves over nothing. Over ideologies and agendas...and not working together.

It's why I don't believe in that shit. So when the real dumbasses of CP call me a "racist" they don't understand how stupid that is to someone who doesn't believe in racism as anything other than a social construct designed to keep people factioned.
