Did the ball hit Edelman?

I thought - and still think very clearly - that it hit his bicep. So, do you think it hit him?

certainly not enough to overturn the call on the field.

Tell yourself what you need to tell yourself. They got the call right on replay. Undeniably, indisputably correct—unless your emotions cloud your vision.

I could have (and did - several times) swear that the ball hit his upper arm. The beautiful and witty Mrs. FAX disagreed. I considered divorce. She considered dumping nachos on my head. Things got crazy.

Then the replay happened. I still think the ball grazed his bicep.

I don’t understand why the NFL doesn’t follow its own rules?

Your not supposed to be able to overturn the call on the field unless it’s 100% conclusive right?

There was no undisputed consensus on the replay. Ask 100 people if he touched or not and you would get a split vote.

It shouldn’t have been overturned. Thankfully it ended up not mattering anyway.

But there was evidence it didn't touch him.

First I thought it touched his bicep

Then they showed a replay that showed it definitely didn't touch his bicep

Then I was sure it touched his right thumb

Until another angle showed it definitely didn't touch his right thumb

Then I was sure it touched his left thumb

Until another angle showed it didn't touch his left thumb

I don't think any of those angles showed clear and convincing evidence that it DIDN'T touch him. Had they ruled that he didn't touch it, I'd feel the same way.

How they could overturn it is beyond me.

I was sure it did however the replays from different angles showed that it didn't. It looked like it hit his thumb, then it didn't. It looked like it hit his arm, then it didn't. What really sucks about the play is that he tried to touch it and failed.

Oblong ball does oblong stuff.

Absolutely not..

The only thing I would debate is it hitting one of his fingers. If it hit his bicep, the ball would've moved in some shape or form, even a tiny touch it would have been clear as day.

Romo kept talking about the thumb, but after I re-watched it over and over, the thumb was the opposite side of where the ball could have hit his thumb so it was an optical illusion with his left hand.

If the roles were reversed and they say Tyreek hill touched that ball I would've called BS and that the game was fixed. I know bull shit when I see it, and they made the right call on that play.

Exactly this. Every angle made it look like it MAYBE could have touched one of those body parts, until they showed the other angles that proved it never touched him anywhere.

My issue is how long they sent determining the result. They need to go back to the two minute rule for instant replay.

Did you see how pixelated or spotty the view became when the camera zoomed in on that play? I don't think I've ever seen it that bad except for maybe twenty years ago.

For those who are saying that play didn't matter at the time because we ended up getting the ball back and scored anyways, well yeah, but what about those valuable seconds we could of used at the end of the fourth quarter to score a TD? We left a chance to score a TD on the table, but had that play not been over turned we would of had more chances for that game winning TD.

I stand with the people that couldn't see any evidence to over turn that call.
