Netflix: UnNatural Selection
Has anyone watched this?
I mean, holy shit. It's a limited series on Netflix, and it takes a look at genetic editing and follows several groups of people from wildly different backgrounds that are doing research and testing in genetic editing. From scientists and doctors in labs, to DIY dudes working out of a garage or shed. I mean we hear about genetic stuff in the news from time to time but you haven't heard some of this shit, I can almost guarantee. One thing is clear. Shit is getting real in a big damn hurry. |

Huh. I’ll have to check that out. DIY genetics sounds intergalactically stupid.

There is definitely some monumental stupid going on out there. The series shows a lot of angles, from ethical, professional scientists doing good work in the medical field to some batshit crazy people who have no problem endangering others. And some of the batshit crazy comes right from the government and scientists in some parts of the world.
It's kinda nuts. |

Caught the first episode and was so angry disturbed that I haven't gone back to it. Truly frightening to think about random weirdos playing with genetic editing.
