Well, he didn't really do anything new. He's been shooting the ball really well, and taking it to the basket when he's got an opening. He just did more of it, and with a little more confidence.

LAWRENCE — Several Jayhawk basketball fans have started a campaign to preserve their beloved “Rock Chalk” chant.

Their complaint is that people are increasingly shouting “whoo” after each slow rendition of “Rock Chalk Jayhawk, KU.”

The Facebook the group created in response, “There is no ‘WHOOO’ in the Rock Chalk Chant,” boasted nearly 400 people by midday Saturday.

The Lawrence Journal World reported that the group also took their case to the coach of the university’s Spirit Squad, Cat Jarzemkoski...

That's hilarious. I've said for years that the Rock Chalk chant is really awesome, but the "WHOO" completely ruins it.

What do you mean by "can't have"? It's a preference thing, William. When I went to KU, we didn't do that stupid ass "wooo". I prefer the chant without the "woos" and think they take something away from it. You're a ****ing weirdo for caring about this so much.

By "can't have" I mean very clearly, people who "don't want others" yelling "WHOO". I thought that was pretty clear.

I liken it to people who complain about "Home of the CHIEFS". You can pitch a fit and people will continue to do it. And creating a FB profile to protest it, which makes it into the local paper is stupid.
