Sacks are nice, but were a better run defense when hes out. I think he focused on the pass rush so much he forgets the can hand it off.

We're going to have some tough discussions when it's time to pay him big money. Phenomenal pass rusher and disruptive force. No brainer to pay him right? On the other hand, he's not a team player when it comes to having gap integrity on run D. Maybe he can get that corrected, but it's a legit concern.

He's a hell of an interior pass rusher, probably as good as the Chiefs have ever had, but you'd be a fool not to be highly skeptical of his run defense.

You are insane if you don't understand that he's a key player in our defense moving forward.

I wish we would change over to a 4-3 defense and move Jones to DE. His sketchy run defense wouldn't be as much of a problem at DE. Also, Houston is great around the line of scrimmage but a liability in coverage. He would benefit a ton from being moved to DE.
Jones, Williams, Nnadi , Houston Ford, Hitchens, O'Daniel Williams and Nnadi seem to work well together stopping the run. Jones and houston can set the edge and rush the passer. Ford's speed allows him to drop into coverage or come up and blitz the QB. Gut our secondary and more or less start over. |
