Honestly, I have little idea how the mod structure here works. I typically don't break any rules. It's never been an issue for me.

And to be clear, I'm not here to bust anyone's balls. I know as well as anyone how tough it is to be a moderator in this day and age. I just need to understand what I did wrong. Or to see if it's just a mistake. I'm guessing it's just a mistake. I can't imagine what I did that would cause me to be banned from that thread.

My only exposure to the background of this bullshit is...
1) the rampant audio bullshit in DC, which we're pretty cranky about... I think that's one reason the thread was locked, but don't really care to dive into that.
2) the whole Detoxing doxing thing with your picture and the thing you two have for each other, which I believe also played a part in the thread being locked.

As far as the thing you two have for each other, the mods don't generally dive into "who started it" or other childish bullshit.... we took care of the pics and I think we locked a thread that Detoxing bumped.

After that, we simply tell both sides to put each other on ignore or whatever you have to do or else we'll ban whoever keeps it up. We very rarely have to tell two people that, but have done it twice this week now.

As someone who only saw the pics posted and Detoxing going on and on about it, my first guess would be that he's the aggressor in this situation.

The first post you objected to is me believing that more news about this subject is going to break. It seems to me that if that's the case, having a thread in the DC forum to talk about that news is something that is worthwhile. As I said, that is out of my hands.

Second comment was me playing along with everybody else clowning in that thread. It was a parody statement just as they were all making parody statements in that thread.
Hence the second line: "Some people seem to want us focused on Papa John's and DVDs. "

I understand that this is an uncomfortable topic, but it IS a topic. This issue came out through the WikiLeaks. And now it's coming out through the Maxwell trial, and CNN producers of primetime shows. My sole interest in this topic is to raise awareness so that people choose to clean it up. I think it's the wrong move to disallow the subject entirely.

I had no intention of getting involved in this today. I got drug into it. And when I appealled and advocated for my point of view, I got banned from the thread where I was being discussed. I'm not here to make it any harder on you than your job already is. I'm just trying to advocate for my point of view.
