I've always been sort of intrigued by the what-if of not firing Herm Edwards and seeing where things went with Thigpen and the pistol. I'm not saying it would have been good but I don't think it would have been worse than where we ended up with Cassel and Pioli.

![]() That was the year Cardinals fans were on the Buddy Ryan bandwagon and it all ended up crashing and burning with him leaving the field early against the Cowboys and getting fired. That Bono run was the beginning of the end for Buddy. |

And yeah, I kind of thought that Thigpen should've had more of a chance than he did. He was unorthodox, but seemed more effective than others he was competiing against. |

This reminds me that the Chiefs have some surprising current record holders for various team records. You’d think that these records would have fallen to Mahomes, Tyreek, Kelce, etc. by now.
Elvis Grbac still has the single game passing yards record with 503. Marc Boerigter has the longest reception in franchise history (99 yards). Bono with the longest QB run in franchise history. Stephone Paige with the single game receiving yardage record (309 yards). |

And obviously Boerigter's record also happens to be tied for 1st in the NFL record books and technically can't be broken. |

Yeah, they were a fairly entertaining and likable disaster. Then the Patriot Way happened.

We would expect Manning to have a higher peak since Manning was actually a good quarterback. But consider that Plummer, Orton, Frerotte, Cutler, Tripucka, and Johnson all had higher peaks than elway. |

Carr4mvp is from North Carolina or something like that. He's not a regular raiders fan.
