The #Raiders hired Jed Hughes of search firm Korn Ferry to help compile GM and HC candidates. Hughes helped the placements of the following HCs:

- Pete Carroll with the Seahawks
- Andy Reid with the Chiefs
- Jim Harbaugh at Michigan
- Bruce Arians with the Bucs

Not bad.

This might be a dumb question, but what's the point of hiring somebody like this in the NFL?

It's a sports league. The field is incredibly interwoven. Some might even say inbred. You've got coaching trees if you want to just hire what you know, and if you're looking to make a big splash, it's pretty damn easy to find out who the big up-and-coming names are who will suck all kinds of owner dick to get treated like complete garbage by your trash ass franchise.

Everybody is interviewing/hiring the same candidates. Even if you're completely clueless about what's out there, it's pretty easy to just look up what other teams are doing and then give the exact same people a call.

Yeah I don’t get it.

It’s not like you have a guy going to the ends of the earth to find some unknown prodigy. It’s the NFL. Everyone knows everyone else.

Brady being a part owner and being involved in the coaching search is fine.

He should be forced to give up his broadcasting gig though.

Having an owner announce games on national TV???

Brady running the Raiders isn't happening. If he did it would matter not. He doesn't know shit about running a football team.

Very possible but have you ever looked at Mark Davis?

If a doorknob had a heartbeat it would likely do a better job than Davis.

This will probably end up like the Elway-Donks era. Run it in the ground , Oh wait, Raiders are in the ground.
