I thought that Poe, Jones, and Nnadi were obvious votes, and was surprised that Nnadi is our third-most seasoned defensive tackle of the past decade in terms of starts.
The #4 and #5 spots were tough. They came down to Ron Edwards, Bennie Logan, Jarvis Jenkins, Xavier Williams, or Mike Pennel. Edwards is underrated because he was a pure nose tackle and won't get the stats. Jenkins was versatile, and I thought Bennie Logan played very well during his one season with us. Xavier Williams is a good all-around player, and of course Mt. Pennel was insurmountable. In the end, though, you have to pick Pennel for his heroic run stopping moments, even if he doesn't have much seniority. And for my #5 spot I went with Bennie Logan.

Looks like everyone loved Pennel's contributions to our run defense. Hope we can re-sign him.

I had him in the DE category as a 3-4 end.

I wish I could go back and vote for Kelly Gregg over who I ended up voting for, in Bennie Logan.
Gregg was really good the one year he was here. |
