Remaining Chiefs schedule...

Did a quick glance at all potential AFC post-season teams...and the Chiefs are set-up better than I can remember in recent history.

If KC can get past NE and the Bills...they have 10 games remaining against only two "contenders". These are both NFC teams...Saints and Bucs. I dont really consider the Raiders "contenders"...

This is huge as far as conference seeding... their record against AFC teams takes precedence.

Conversely, Ravens play NE, Bills, Steelers (x2)...Bills also play the Steelers and Titans...NE plays the Bills (x2). Steelers play Indy and the Titans. Indy plays the Titans (x2).

This game against NE is pretty important. If KC wins...all the remaining teams will, effectively, cancel each other out. KC owns the head to head on the Ravens...

Pretty crazy year on that front...

The Bills beat two of the worst teams in the league, and just barely survived the Rams. They might not be all that great.

Bills on a short week is the best shot at a loss. KC is traditionally terrible in Thursday road games...

A loss might be good for them...keep the Chiefs from buying their own hype.

Each division other than AFCW has two teams that are competitively close. So it is hard to go 6-0, that already gives KC an advantage if they can be undefeated in division play (likely to happen). This year's rotation is AFCW vs AFCE and AFCN vs AFCS. KC already took care of out of rotation opponents in Hou and Bal. Beat NE and Buffalo then the AFC path to the SB is almost assuredly through Arrowhead.

The only downside of those schedules is common opponents. If one team asserts itself as better than the rest, they could be like last year's Ravens and win a ton of games against common opponents.

I don't see that happening - it's more likely they just beat each other up and split those wins - but it's possible.

I mentioned this in another thread but I think the Steelers are going to be the surprise team this year.

I know they have played against 3 dogs (0-9) but they seem to have a statement to make with Big Ben.

They have always given us trouble just like the Dolphins and Bills.

Hope I'm wrong.

The key will be how we stay healthy. We've taken a small beating with injuries in just 3 games. Gotta have a few games with zero (0) injuries.

Chiefs may trip up somewhere here or there. But you gotta figure, at this point they're pretty much gonna end up 14 and 2 or so.

You see any of those others getting close to that? Cause I dont'.

A win this weekend seals the AFC 1 seed IMO. So what if we lose to the Bills, Saints and Bucs (worst case scenario). Even in that scenario you’ve got only 1 AFC loss and a tie breaker over the Ravens and Pats who will not go 14-2.

The media is trying to drum this weekends game up as a big game.

I think the Chiefs beat the **** out of them. The Pat defense isn't near what it was in 18 or even last year.

And Cam and company are gonna keep up with the Chiefs in a shootout? Nah.

Seals the one seed? That is rediculous in week 4.
