I'll say this, he definitely didn't pick the right one, but he is the only coach the Chiefs have had in about 30 years who wanted to legitimately draft and develop a QB. Him and Kuharich actively tried to rebuild with younger players, and drafted some good ones. You'd think that philosophy would serve him well in the college game. He's the type of coach who likes to coach up and develop young players.

Question his tactics all you want, but you can't question the man's motives or his desire. Now if I had a kid that had a shot at the NFL, I probably wouldn't send him to play for the old boy. But if I had any of the other thousands of other young men going off to play college football every year, I'd gladly send him to play for Herm.

He's good people. Nuttier than shit, but a good man. And he's passionate as hell. All that counts for something.
I never answered your question. I can not root for him because he's a dumb**** fraud that wrecked my franchise. I mean, I know It's Carl's fault that his stupid ass couldn't see through Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards' schtick, but still you can aspire to not be a fraud.

Moreover, he's a grandstanding **** that constantly gets on whatever media he can and tells everybody he knows what's going on and he is operating from some moral high ground, even though he's dumber than a bag of shit. And certainly wasn't responsible for any success anywhere. But that doesn't stop him from grandstanding everywhere.

There you have it. That is how I can not root for this guy. **** Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards.

I agree a bit. Ultimately the problem (an issue for decades) was if you didn't find a QB, you didn't have shit. They picked Brodie Croyle and welp...

He was horrible at personnel. Including QB. 3rd round is a meager attempt at "draft and develop".

Either way, he was too horrible at personnel to field a respectable team to develop a QB without getting him dead, always playing from behind, or having anybody to catch the ****ing ball. So even if he picked the right guy, it would have ended the same way.

And that is completely ignoring his butt****ery that he called coaching.

He's a terrible NFL coach but by all accounts he's a good man. His sort of over the top lunacy is all good natured and 100% sincere. I'm going to be pulling for him - the game's more fun with guys like Herm in it.
We've all discussed this point thousands of times. I'm with you; Herm is going to be a ****ing enigma of a college coach.

The discussion here is about Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards.

King Carl's stupid ****ing ass needs lynched for giving up a 4th round pick for this ****ing asshat that was going to get fired anyway, yes. No question. But the discussion here is about Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards.

Moreover Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards is constantly on ESPN grandstanding about how good of coach he was or he did this or "we" (when he was doing virtually nothing in Tampa) did this or that. King Carl is at least quiet about being an arrogant ****ing fraud (which he is).

This is going to go down as the worst hiring in the history of...jobs.

Herm is a bonafide idiot. A clown. Herm can talk for an hour and not say anything even remotely relevant or memorable. It's quite remarkable, actually. He's the undisputed, undefeated king of word salad. As someone who attended ASU, it's flat-out embarrassing that they hired him. You've got to give Herm credit though, he keeps failing upward. His career arc should've hit its zenith as a DB coach somewhere, with mild input into the drafting of college DBs. The fact that he's made it as far as he has is an indictment on our society.

Herm was an entirely decent head coach in New York when he had a QB worth a shit.

He's going to do well in the college ranks.
