Movies
Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Zombieland was great, IMO.

FWIW, I would strongly suggest that if you are fans of Super Troopers and you have a Blu Ray player that you buy the Blu Ray version. It is loaded with extra features, including a drinking game

The two scenes in Irreversible stick with me a lot longer than anything in Antichrist, but Antichrist as a whole is more messed up.

Speaking of ****ed up. And you really do have to watch about halfway through the trailer to appreciate just how screwed up this movie concept is. Yuck.

Just watched The Blind Side. It was enjoyable enough. The film is narratively structured in too "Hollywood" of a way for the film to be anything other than average. No way did Sandra Bullock deserve an Oscar for her performance.

The neatest part of the film was the dedication to time-appropriate authenticity. Phil Fulmer, Nick Saban, Lou Holtz, Tommy Tuberville and Huston Nutt were all representing the universities they were coaching when Oher was in high school. Fulmer and Saban were naturals on-camera, too.
