It's that morning again.

That Playoff Morning.

I didn't sleep well. I was invited to the pre-game dinner last night on the Plaza, but with the snow I wanted to make sure I'd have everything ready to go for today. I'm glad the rest of the CP crew was able to have a "Knights of the Round Table" meeting. OK, "Knights of the Rectangular Table!"

I'm ready, but I'm familiarly anxious about today. It's going to be one of those monumental struggle days with the weather and the situation at hand.

But as one great Chief once said (Chief Lone Waddy): "I will endeavor to persevere."

I have all my stadium gear ready to go. I'm having my morning coffee from the same cup I've had game day coffee since 1980. I'll be wearing one of my dad's Chiefs stocking caps and one of my mom's Chiefs pins. I'm about to burn a picture of the Kicker Who Will Remain Nameless in the fireplace. I will put a cup of Gates BBQ sauce on the mantle like I did in 1985 before Game Six of the World Series. I would do ANYTHING to break this home playoff curse.

I put a MAHOMIE sticker on my car. I am not especially optimistic, but I will go in with a clean slate. Nobody expected this, so win or lose, this year has already exceeded all expectation.

But it would be so much greater if we can just get a win today. Today could be our finest hour.

I don't believe in petitioning the Lord in Prayer over sporting events, but if YOU do, PLEASE ASK THE MAN UPSTAIRS to let us have victory. The city deserves it. Now...where did I put my bic lighter??

I have a feeling Chiefs win today.

I prayed for a Chiefs superbowl a long time ago and one day its gonna be answered.

Random but yeah I also remembered a while back that I prayed for the Chiefs to get Ty Law and that prayer was answered.

Prayers get answered. I just sent a prayer right now to the man upstairs that we beat the Colts today.

There you go GB. Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the game. I know it ain’t easy, since there are the playoff nerves. Do your best. Thats all you could ask for yourself.

Ok, here's the deal. The Chiefs have not won a playoff game at home since before my son was born... and he is now out of the Marine Corps... So that gives you an idea of how long it's been... We have not beaten the Colts in the playoffs ever... All that needs to change today! Hopefully the Magical Mr. Mahomes will get it done! So... personalized Chiefs jersey, Chiefs t-shirt, Chiefs hat, Chiefs socks... Crucifix and Miraculous Medal around my neck... (to remind me of what's REALLY important)...I will leave it up to your imagination to wonder if I have Chiefs underwear on! LOL. Let's go Chiefs!

I’m disappointed that a Chiefs win appears to be all lying on Mahomes’ performance according to most here. It wouldn’t hurt for these assholes in the defensive secondary/linebacking core to show up and have a game, never mind the defensive coordinator...
