Hey Hater...

When I was but a wee lad in 1995 I put my faith in Steve Bono. Really believed he could take the Chiefs somewhere! Saw us go 13-3 and dammit, we were awesome, and Steve Bono did some nice things that year, and we could beat ANYONE.

And then Steve Bono pooped his pants in the playoffs. My faith was rewarded with a great big **** YOU.

So two years later we got Elvis Grbac. Oh man, I was excited. I got myself an Elvis Grbac jersey! And Elvis was the KING baby. He threw a game-winning TD pass on the last play against Oakland on MNF! The Chiefs were kicking ass that year!

And then Elvis pooped his pants in the playoffs. My faith was rewarded with a big **** YOU!

I actually continued to like Elvis after that, believed he could get the job done, and thought he would be our QB for years. I was convinced his 4,000-yard, 28-TD season in 1999 was proof of his greatness. He changed his number to #18, so I got another Grbac jersey.

And then he left for Baltimore. My faith was rewarded with a big **** YOU!

Then we got Trent Green. Now, he was something else. Threw for a lot of yards and we scored a lot of points. So, I got HIS jersey. And he was awesome in the playoffs, even though we lost. Later on he got his brains scrambled and stuff, but he had a good run in KC. I told myself, if we ever get a QB like him again, I'll support that guy.

Anyway, instead we got Brodie Croyle, and he sucked. But he never gave me much reason to believe in him so no ****s given.

Anyway, we DID get this guy named Matt Cassel. And I watched his Patriots games. And thought he looked pretty cool. I was probably the #1 Cassel defender in 2009 around here. I figured, Cassel did pretty well for his first year starting, and if Scott Pioli traded for him, he knows what he's doing.

And then over the course of the next two seasons, my confidence in Cassel slowly started to erode. I began to see that he simply couldn't play the position, and was a huge liability. I was waiting for that big FU!, but then something happened. Cassel played better.

For a few games, he was a decent QB. He reminded me a little bit of Green. Put up some numbers, we went to the playoffs. I decided to take one last leap of faith. I drove hundreds of miles to go to the Chiefs playoff game against the Ravens.

And Cassel turned in the worst playoff game of any QB we've ever had play for this team. I left a playoff game EARLY that day. My faith was rewarded with a big **** YOU!

So, I took a look at some of Alex Smith's games. I asked some of your fellow 49ers fans about him. I researched his statistics. And after analyzing all this data, I've come to one final conclusion:

**** YOU!
Damn brotha, u put in a lot of work, but the main thing im still waiting for you to adjust too. is let go of the past. dont be like that guy that gets dumped, and wound up stalking the girl that left you for the rest of ur life during the day, and at night sit at home in the attic, sipping on chocolate milk, wearing one of those propeller hats, watching porn and lonely for the rest of ur life.

If u ever have been dumped or dumped someone, then u move on. So how hard is it to move on from hatred for a player that hasnt even donned a chiefs uniform before. just saying.

BTW all the harsh words, damn, tell me how u really feel. or maybe it made u feel better to come up against a noob who can give it right back, just a little toned down as all

Look forward to definitely chatting with you this season....

actually i think it's been proven that each concussion makes the person more susceptible to having another

not saying that Smith will or won't just that concussions 'add up'

If concussion were acls then Denario Alexander he will be a drooling idiot taking food through a straw by now

If Alex Smith can learn to handle the pressure of a live pass rush, he has a good chance at reminding us of Trent Green.

I can't believe I just typed that, but it's true.

I saw Trent in camp every year he was here and Alex looked very similar.

I'm hopefull that he can continue that when the real bullets are flying.

After seeing Alex Smith in camp, I've backed off my hate for the trade a bit but am still in wait and see mode.

I think Clay will be back to his old super homer self by mid season, but time will tell.
The Chiefs have sucked for so long it's pretty safe to predict doom and gloom and be right.

gochiefs is a troll who will always says what he thinks will stir up the most shit and get him the attention he craves.

What is mediocre? 20-5-1. Doing what needs to be done to win the games. That's who Alex is. He doesn't have to carry the team. HE CAN. See the Saints playoff game if you need proof, or the 6 other come from behind victories that he was a part of in 2011 as proof. Alex Smith just is comfortable being a guy, just not the guy. But hes super efficient.

Bingo. This goes without saying. He will be sorely missed in New York. Clay is just a tool, no one wants to leave new York......sarc mark.

Lol, I do that all the time as well. Some times that pesky pinky just slaps the shift for NO Reason.

Awwww, the boards resident Jags troll, ready to coddle Clays balls at a moments notice. New guy, don't pay any attention to this turd. He changed his name to compliment his idol in life. They are super bros. They both live in their moms basements. So you know, they are cool.....

He is a ****ing mediocre quarterback that is the best Alex Smith is. He doesn't bring anything exciting to the game. He cannot carry the team himself like an Aaron Rodgers. **** Alex Smith.

This doesn't make any sense since I've been positive about the Chiefs in the past, even this offseason.

Well i think the last 49er QB that came to KC was Montana.

and although Smith is not Montana, I wouldnt mind repeating the outcome that he had.

To be fair despite the fact that Clay is the equivalent of a Goth chick we also got Grbac from the 49ers as well.
