Is it or is it not a fact that he went undrafted and has thrown 9 regular season passes in his career?

You tell me? You seem to have already made up your mind, despite the fact tha Sean Payton kept him on the Saints roster for four years,

There was a time when the Saints literally didn't have a 3rd string QB. That's a lot of faith to put into Daniel if Brees had gone down.

The "For all we know" is a bullshit hand. You don't know anything about him, so you're choosing to believe he's shit.

The fact of the matter is that one well-known QB guru, who not only helped to revive Kerry Collins' career and help him reach the Super Bowl, who helped groom Tony Romo, who helped Drew Brees become one of the all-time greats and a Super Bowl winner, kept Daniel on the roster for four seasons.

Now, another renown QB guru has chosen to work with him.

I think I'll hold my breath before unequivocally stating he's garbage.
I never said I chose to believe he was shit. I said I don't trust him.

Sitting behind legendary QBs doesn't mean shit. Just ask Peyton Manning and his backups.

Sean Payton is a phenomenal QB coach. That doesn't mean he can create tree of QBs like Ron Wolf/Mike Holmgren and Brett Favre backups. We have yet to see the results.

Again, all we got is a preseason where the Saints depended on Daniel to be the starter for a few games and 9 regular season throws. He's an unknown. A question mark. He could be a legitimate case where some pretty good QB eyes in the NFL think he's good, or he could be a case where the coaches just get a backup to get a backup. That happens way more often than you let on, and it happens to some pretty good QB coaches, where you think the backup should be way better than he actually is.

Could Daniel be solid if called upon? Absolutely. It's just right now it's ALL we have to go off of is what Sean Payton apparently thinks of him. We have nothing else. No size/special physical attributes. No outstanding college numbers. No high draft stock coming out of college. In that way, Daniel is FAR more Graham Harrell than he is Matt Flynn, if I were to make a comparison.

I would still much rather have Carr, Anderson, Orton, Skelton, or a guy like that as my backup if I had to choose from a veteran who's been in the league for a few seasons. Ideally we'd have a drafted QB prospect like the Pats have with Mallett or the Skins with Cousins, but we can't have everything. Bray is the best we've got, and he's not ready. So in the meantime, there's nothing wrong with me saying I don't trust Daniel. It's perfectly logical and reasonable.

I think he qualifies.
Gannon had starting experience dating from his time with the Vikings. That's absolutely way more than Chase Daniel has coming in here.

It would be a gigantic mistake to force a 21 year old rookie undrafted free agent, into an NFL game, regardless of how he's looked in training camp. He needs time to mature on and off the field, before playing.

He's the perfect developmental QB and throwing him into a pressure packed situation, something he didn't handle well at Tennessee, is the not the best way to develop him.
But if we picked Geno with the 1.1 as well as signing Smith, OMG, GENOZ NEEDS TO PLAY IMMEDIATELY BECUZ HEZ A FIRST ROUND PICK?!?!??!

Your logic boggles my ****ing mind. My strong, immovable mind.

I'm asking a pair of simple questions: Was Chase Daniel drafted? Has he thrown more than 9 regular season passes?

There's no analysis involved, there's no inference required, a simple "yes" or "no" will suffice.

Very interesting questions.

Just last week, you told me that it no longer mattered where a player was drafted because now it was time to perform. Now, you want to discuss where Daniel was or wasn't drafted?

Daniel only threw nine regular season passes because Drew Brees, a likely Hall Of Famer, hasn't been injured.

Jesus, is someone suggesting Daniel is the right man for the number 2 spot? I mean yeah, if you want NO competition for Axl, then yes he's the perfect man.

Jesus, some people just NEEDS to get them some Reid-chode to swallow, it seems...

Sadness.

I'm not trying to "discuss" anything. I'm trying to establish the facts of the situation. Was Daniel drafted? How many attempts has Daniel had in regular season games?

The reason I'm asking is because it would seem to me that he was not a highly-touted player, and since he's come into the league he has very little experience, regardless of the reason. Are either of those statements unfair, based on the facts?

Why is it so difficult for you to provide a simple answer?
