Teams don't just give out AHC titles to just anyone (well, except for the Chiefs) and Sutton was well respected across the league.
Ah yes the good old "people I personally know" source. Jets fans are only slightly less delusional than Chiefs fans. At least their team has given them reason for it every few years though.

I actually am somewhat optimistic about Sutton just for the fact that he realizes you've got to be aggressive on defense, but don't act like he's some prized hire. Hell the reason he probably took the Chiefs job is because he could see the "nuclear ****ing enema" that team will probably get after this year.

Yeah and look at their head coaches during his time there, not exactly a brain trust there. But hell, I'm willing to give some credit for the success that some of those guys had to Sutton, that still doesn't leave me thinking the defense will suddenly be some top 5 defense like a lot of people here seem to think. I'll be pleased if the defense consistently plays in the 10 range, but I won't be surprised if its in the 20 range. Hell I'll take just some consistency. Tired of them playing some team they probably should get blown out by tough and then getting their asses handed to them by teams that shouldn't.

Oh, and Scott Pioli, Romeo Crennel, and Josch McDaniels say hi. Respect doesn't mean jack shit when its unfounded. We'll find out if it is for Sutton.

This Message is to ALEX HATER....

Im still new to the zone. but i have to ask. i know the name Alex hater.

But damn, i mean do you want your team to fail. i mean he's better than the last few Qb's who've donned a starting job.

i mean its like u cant even take the wait and see approach. u remind me of that family guy episode with buzz killington.

u dont have to be gung ho, but its like if lets say he scores a Td. instead of being like yeaaah boy. youd be like its only one. if we win, youd be like, dont worry, we are gonna lose next week.

the hate cant be that bad.... or can it be in ur case?????

Harsh but practical: better Stanzi gets drilled by some no-name burger flipper late in the game than someone with even a remote shot at a future here.

Absolutely true. A good friend is a Jets beat writer and he said Sutton was a big loss for the jets because of the way he worked with Rex in turning around the defense. He said with Mangini, he was neutered in the style of defense.

Then again, Claynus likes to browse other teams message boards, find a few posters and state their opinions as being the voice of a franchise.
