So the Seahawks gave Denver the draft pick for Paxton Lynch. Mix in the Russell Wilson & Frank Clark trades. I am in awe of Pete Carroll's ability to screw other teams.

I've written much of this plot line in the donx thread several times, but I'm glad someone expanded upon it and turned it into an actual thing.

The Chiefs got "screwed" with a SB ring while the Seahawks turned around and used that pick on LJ ****ing Collier.

Let's not pretend that the Seahawks did better than the Chiefs with that trade at the end of the day. All they really did was save the money and salary cap space.

Lol. Loved that except for the part where he said most Chiefs fans think Allen is a better QB.

Frank Clark did not carry the team to a Super Bowl. In terms of the defense, Honey Badger had a much bigger impact than Frank. The run defense was horrible for the first half of the 2019 season until they added Terrell Suggs & Mike Pennel.

I didn't say he "carried" them to a SB, all I said was that the Chiefs won a SB, but the revisionist history on Frank Clark during that run is pretty astounding.

He absolutely played a huge role in the playoffs that year, and to pretend otherwise is just disingenuous.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree about his role.

So you're just incapable of being objective about this?

He had 5 sacks and 7 QBHits in the 3 postseason games.

That's statistically one of the best postseason performances from a pass rusher in NFL history.

I'm looking at the numbers right now. 3 of the sacks occurred in the Texans game. I would say 2 massive plays by Dan Sorenson to shift momentum were a lot more important than those 3 sacks by Clark. 1 sack was at the very end of the Titans game, when the Titans were essentially dead and buried after a long ball TD to Sammy Watkins. Frank had 1 sack against the Niners and that one was probably more important compared to the sacks in the other 2 games.

This isn't a comparison between Frank Clark and other player's role in the SB run.

There's simply no denying that Clark was nails in the playoffs that year and played his role in getting us a ring.

Dude was playing like a madman, and it's not just about the sacks. He was fantastic agaisnt the Titans in the run game as well.

To pretend otherwise is just a lack of objectivity.
