Let's start it... Warriors going for a back to back and 3 out of 4. Yikes for Gordon Hayward.

Speaking of the Celtics, I really think they could have been a real contender to get to the Finals this year with Hayward. They look pretty good once they got over the loss of Hayward. They won't do much this year in the playoffs but if he comes back healthy I think that team will be really good.

I was wrong. But that doesn't change the fact that the Cavs did have an abysmal defense since the all Star break and still do to this day. It doesn't change the fact that LeBron's handpicked coach has NO idea how to run a basketball team offensively or defensively and that LeBron is literally the only person who can get anything going for the Cavs seeing as how Lue can't build a system that takes advantage of any other players strengths.

The Cavs could have had a Spurs like defense and they still wouldn't have won anything against a team with Durant, Curry, the DPOY, and the best SG in the sport. There was no reason to think LeBron would do anything but toy with any of the other East teams, though. Never was.

according to this thread that DPOY is just a role player remember. Draymond doesn't count. He's like equal to Tristan Thompson, they cancel eachother out. Advantage Cavs there.

I would have needed to see how Irving/Hayward played together before coming to that conclusion.

The Warriors should consider that TT for Draymond trade. Not every day you can get an offensive rebounder of that caliber.

You think Draymond would be as good outside the warriors system? Systems make players like him better than they are. Funny how Crowder sucks at defense now but he was great defensively with the Celtics.

But no, its not the system LeBron's handpicked coach installed. Nope.

Draymond could be on the Cavs and they'd still suck defensively.

so what youre saying is if Crowder was on the Warriors in Draymonds role that Crowder would have won DPOY instead.

HAHA get out of here. The NBA isnt the NFL, system and schemes isnt everything, the talented studs usually rise to the top. You dont want to admit Draymond is a top 15 player in the NBA thats fine, but youre in the minority there as pretty much everyone who covers the NBA outside of the CP NBA experts believe he is.

Draymond is a top 15 player? Over who?

1. LeBron
2. Durant
3. Curry
4. Lillard
5. Anthony Davis
6. Boogie Cousins
7. Giannis AlphabetSoup
8. KAT
9. Jimmy Butler
10. Westbrook
11. Melo
12. Paul George
13. Porzingis
14. Kawhi
15. Kyrie

Those are just 15 quick players and there are a bunch more I didn't list. Which of them is he better than? You'd build a team around him?

He's a 4th option in a system perfect for him. He's not a bad player or anything but far from a top 15 player.

Draymond is an elite role player. He’s not a top 15 player but he’s less expendable than any player they have. When he’s not playing well or out that’s when they become beatable. I hate the dude, but he is a big part of making it go.

He's less expendable than Curry? KD? Klay? Seriously? I agree that Draymond is probably the best role player in the league, but he also has one of the easiest offensive role in the league.

He's really important just because the Warriors have jack for PFs behind him off the bench.

I might argue that a guy like Iguodala plays a bigger role in what the Warriors do and how they beat you.

Brandon Ingram is a serious ball-stopper.

He's incapable of finding his shot in the flow of the offense. He always tries to isolate and then does some wild dribble-penetration attempt.

Kuzma is a rookie and already has a more nuanced, reliable offensive game.

And man, Lonzo Ball cannot ****ing shoot a lick.

That should come as a surprise to precisely no one.

How can you be that dedicated to the game and still have that busted-ass shot?

He really is a nearly transcendent passer; incredible vision and touch. He's truly unique in that regard. But **** me, you can't have a starting guard shooting 33% with limited range in the modern NBA. It simply won't work, no matter how good a passer he is. Teams will just say off and close the lanes.

He has to get to around 40% out there at least.
