Time to insert some facts into this fiction you guys love to create.

The 19956 Republican platofrom:

Quote:
The record of performance of the Republican Administration on behalf of our working men and women goes still further. The Federal minimum wage has been raised for more than 2 million workers. Social Security has been extended to an additional 10 million workers and the benefits raised for 6 1/2 million. The protection of unemployment insurance has been brought to 4 million additional workers. There have been increased workmen's compensation benefits for longshoremen and harbor workers, increased retirement benefits for railroad employees, and wage increases and improved welfare and pension plans for federal employees.
Which direction did the GOP go after this? Way more right.

Quote:
Workers have benefited by the progress which has been made in carrying out the programs and principles set forth in the 1952 Republican platform. All workers have gained and unions have grown in strength and responsibility, and have increased their membership by 2 millions.

Furthermore, the process of free collective bargaining has been strengthened by the insistence of this Administration that labor and management settle their differences at the bargaining table without the intervention of the Government. This policy has brought to our country an unprecedented period of labor-management peace and understanding.
Which direction did the GOP go after this? Way more right.

Quote:
Strengthen and improve the Federal-State Employment Service and improve the effectiveness of the unemployment insurance system;

Protect by law, the assets of employee welfare and benefit plans so that workers who are the beneficiaries can be assured of their rightful benefits;

Assure equal pay for equal work regardless of Sex;

Clarify and strengthen the eight-hour laws for the benefit of workers who are subject to federal wage standards on Federal and Federally-assisted construction, and maintain and continue the vigorous administration of the Federal prevailing minimum wage law for public supply contracts;

Extend the protection of the Federal minimum wage laws to as many more workers as is possible and practicable;

Continue to fight for the elimination of discrimination in employment because of race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry or sex;
Which direction did the GOP go after this? Way more right.

Quote:
The Republican Party supports an immigration policy which is in keeping with the traditions of America in providing a haven for oppressed peoples, and which is based on equality of treatment, freedom from implications of discrimination between racial, nationality and religious groups, and flexible enough to conform to changing needs and conditions.

We believe that such a policy serves our self-interest, reflects our responsibility for world leadership and develops maximum cooperation with other nations in resolving problems in this area.

We support the President's program submitted to the 84th Congress to carry out needed modifications in existing law and to take such further steps as may be necessary to carry out our traditional policy.

In that concept, this Republican Administration sponsored the Refugee Relief Act to provide asylum for thousands of refugees, expellees and displaced persons, and undertook in the face of Democrat opposition to correct the inequities in existing law and to bring our immigration policies in line with the dynamic needs of the country and principles of equity and justice.
Which direction did the GOP go after this? Way more right.

I can keep coming up with more examples if you guys want.

We can skip up to the 80s to. Want me to show you why you would call Reagan a RINO?

All true.

I'm just stunned beyond words any white man could vote for people/Party who openly hate him. It's a sickness I'll never understand.

  • The left took over the education system, and has been brainwashing the country for generations. From "Constitution = living document" to "Melting pot" to "Nation of immigrants", the left has been very successful in promoting lies to the masses, under the guise of education.
  • The left completely took over Hollywood, and has been spewing leftist propaganda for generations.
  • The left loves and supports most of its radicals, even if it's mostly behind the scenes when it comes to the most radical, while the right rejects almost all of its radicals, even when those radicals aren't really radical at all.
  • The above, combined with feminism and some other political movements, has emasculated men, especially white men.
  • And, of course, Most people are idiots.

I'm surprised more haven't smartened up yet, but I can see the underpinnings of the "why".

I remember when the GOP believe that.

It must have been them shifting more to the left that changed that.

In truth, the Dems have shed millions of whites since becoming the "white hatred party". They couldn't change any white minds, so they imported 50 million immigrants since 1965 and bribed them with welfare programs to make up the gap.

There's a special place in Hell tho for the GOP folks who went along with this outrage

It's OK. I assume you're young enough for this to be forgivable. And I can't blame you for not being wow-ed by McCain's campaign.

Almost 1/3 of white men were still ignorant/stupid/evil enough to vote for Clinton, and white women continue to be even more impressively stupid about politics.
  • 37% of whites voted for Hillary, according to Pew research.
  • New Republic claims that 43% of white women, and 31% of white men, voted for Hillary.

The GOP has sold the country down the river by going along with the Democrat play to radically change the country. The white voter still hasn't woken up to it enough, though. By the time he/she does, it may be too late.

Hell, it may already be too late.

The original (i.e. true) neocons started out as liberal jewish intellectuals who were disillusioned by the democrat party around the time it nominated George McGovern in 1972. One of the primary issues, but not the only one, that drove them from the democrats was McGovern's appeasement approach to the Cold War. The original neocons were Cold War hawks.

They eventually converted to the Republican party. Irving Kristol (Bill's dad) described himself as a liberal who had been mugged by reality.

Yep. Jewish intellectuals that wanted U.S. Southern males, nearly all working class backgrounds, to go strap on boots and a backpack and go kill folks threatening to Israel. Agreed.

No, I've never seen any indication that that's true.
