The Trump Economy: Messaging vs. Reality

If you ask Trumpers, the economy was total shit until 1/21/17 at which point it turned around over night. In reality, Trump just picked up Obama's surging economy and (to his credit) hasn't ****ed it up yet.

That's such a dumb comparison, it is like something pete would say.

You might want to hold off on the celebration, Chief. Right now the ESTIMATES are that 2018 revenues will BARELY beat 2017. And those are estimates. If the actual revenues fall short of the estimates, you'll be behind.

****ing Rodeo... that 1.4% growth in Obama's last year would made the market fly in 2017... had nothing to do with cutting regulations and the consensus of a tax deal getting done.

OBAMA WAS THE ONLY PRESIDENT EVER TO NOT HAVE A CALENDAR YEAR OF 3% GDP GROWTH OR HIGHER, THE ONLY ONE... EVEN ONE TERM PRESIDENT'S ACHIEVED THIS IN ONLY 4 YEARS.

Obama also had a decimated base to grow, you and the left can't stand the good news, it's like a punch in the gut for you. Pathetic.

First, figure out what you want to moan about. You were just face-planting about the stock market and batting averages. Have you moved on?

Yea, that CBO has been so right in the past?

So 3.1% last year, we can assume 2.3% this year according to you, despite the job numbers this week. So only 1.5% needed in 2020. Yes, you are greatly behind.

What does 1 extra hit do to a .125 average compared to 1 extra hit to a .250 avergage. Now think about that in terms of the stock market...

You seriously want to compare a batting average to the DJIA?
Even your example above is stupid. That answer depends on how many at bats a player has. What is the stock market equivalent of a "hit" or an at bat?

A batting average also has a definite floor and ceiling. Does the stock market have a ceiling?

Do you have any idea how either are actually computed? The comparison is utterly stupid.

Here's one answer to your stupid question. If a player has 125 hits in 1000 ABs (.125 avg), one extra hit moves him to .1258.
If a player has 1 hit in 4 ABs (.250 avg), one extra hit moves him to .400.
So, I guess you were wrong.
Stop embarassing yourself. They are two entirely different things and the way to compute one doesn't correspond to the other.
