He had some sort of a chance back when he controlled the House, but he squandered that. Without the House, he has zero chance to get it built. Zero.

He would likely need to take Congress back with a sizable majority via one of Taco John's red waves before he'd have a real chance to get it built, and we know that isn't happening. It would take more than just one election.

It's a losing issue for him until at least January 2021, if he manages to win re-election himself and win back the House. Probably not until a new Congress would be seated in January of 2023 if he could win nationally in the House two cycles in a row after getting pummeled in the last one.

When you have no chance to win a battle you shouldn't be fighting it.

FWIW, here is an aggregate of multiple polls, rather than an RW cherry-picked one...
Well ya' know, they may even be higher than that even. So you have a point in not believing them. Averages of multiples don't count.

You think the House with Ryan in-charge would give him what he wanted, after that Omnibus bill the House signed with NOTHING for a wall not even more money for BP and detention centers. NADA!

The only way he had a better chance then, was to hold their beloved military spending hostage and hope they cave. He shoulda' at least tried that.
