610 vs 810

Which radio station is more worth my while to listen too? I just installed both the 610 and 810 apps on my iPhone and before giving them a listen, I was wondering what most of you thought and to see if there was a large majority for one station over the other. I understand that this might be like picking between "gonorrehea and herpes" for some of you.

I enjoy listening to sports talk radio, but the over the Donkeys here in Colorado Springs is especially unbearable after last Sunday's shitfest.

Each show is going to be different but generally I prefer 810 over 610. I like Soren Petro and Steven St. John. Also like the personalities of regular guests like Tim Gruhard, Kevin Harlan, Gary Barnett, and Les Norman.

Even KK would have some very good guests. I would just try and tune out when he was doing his thing.

I love good guests that are knowledgeable about their particular sport from college basketball and football to Royals and NFL/Chiefs.

Some 610 shows are ok but often times it is just two guys talking non sports topics with many inside jokes.

I love information about sports from people that really know something and have the inside story.

The same is true for here. I love a good sports story. For those of you that contribute, keep up the good work and thank you.

I liked 610 much better than 810 3-4 years ago. Then Parkins left, and now Bink is on nights, and those were the best two hosts. Why on Earth Show and Vern get a 10-2 show is beyond me. Ron ruins every show he is on, and Vern is the most bleeding heart liberal suckup I've ever heard.

Mornings? 810 with SSJ.
Noon? Petro.
Drive home? Used to be The Drive, but I think it went downhill without Parkins. Cdot has been amazingly annoying with shitty takes as well.
So just music...

As someone that is not local to KC I wish I had local KC, Chiefs, programming to listen to when I am at work, driving or whatever and then get all the local sports coverage on the TV, etc.
I have always wondered if some of you are not being overly critical, would likely be critical no matter whom was the host of the shows. This is CP after all.
I am not all that into podcasts. I like video podcasts or vlogs much more. When I am home though my time gets spent quickly between the family, house, work (I am on-call 2 weeks a month).

810, can only get it in Des Moines area, can't get 610. I like Petro and he was super nice at Chiefs camp in St. Joes the last few years.

I've shifted back and forth depending on whether 610 had any decent programming at the time, but I'm currently almost exclusively 810.

I listen to sports talk radio on Sirius XM. That way I don't ever have to listen to Kietzman's bullshit. I tried to listen to him a couple of days ago. It was the day he made his infamous comment about Andy Reid, although I wasn't listening when THAT happened.

After 15 minutes of his constant whining about Tyreek Hill, I couldn't stand it any more, and I switched back to Sirius XM. Hopefully I'll never have to listen to him again.

I could see that with previous 610 lineups with guys like Nick Wright, but other than Carrington, what’s the young or ethnic appeal nowadays?

Carrington is black, nick Wright thought he was black, the Show is black. 810 only ever had Fatlock. They dont cater to that demographic which is understandable since that is not the majority and also not where the money is. Generally speaking black people dont usually jump to crucify people for every little injustice, or mistake we understand the world isn't fair or perfect. This while ordeal with KK is just another examplr of the chickens coming home to roost. Karama.

When I think of 610 these days, I think of Vern. I'm so uninspired by Vern that I probably just haven't listened to Show enough to realize he was black. I like Petro so that keeps me from checking into 610 at midday too.
