Franchise signal caller with one of the strongest arms in football.

2. Aaron Curry OLB Wake Forest
Playmaker at the linebacker position with terrific size and speed.

3. Eugene Monroe OT Virginia
Follows Ferguson and Albert as the Cavs next great LT prospect.

4. Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio St.
Prototypical size and speed but will also hit and support the run.

5. Andre Smith OT Alabama
Very athletic and can be dominant but has some question marks.

6. Chris Wells RB Ohio St.
Big (6-1, 237), bruising runner with the ability to be a workhorse.

7. Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech
Prolific college pass catcher with all the tools except elite speed.

8. Mark Sanchez QB USC
Only started for one year but is more talented than Matt Leinart.

it'd be interesting (read: AWESOME) if either johnson (out of ga tech), heyward-bey, or lesean mccoy fell to the second round--I'd jump up and down if we got ANY of these three in the second round.

he has a bigger arm than leinart did, he isn't restricted to being good in pretty much only one offense (WCO), he has more mobility, and he isn't a lefty.

it's a joke that he only started one year, though--he shoulda started last year over JD booty. sanchez has LOADS of talent.

I don't even doubt it. I'm just surprised that Leinert has fallen so far, so fast. Hopefully his daddy still has plenty of money, Matty may need some one of these days.

heh, I doubt that leinart has to work a day in his life from this point on--even IF he blows through his signing bonus money, there are USC boosters (with DEEEEEEEP pockets) who would fall over themselves to give him a six figure income to just sit there and talk football with them.

****, he could do autograph signings around the country at card shows and sign 'heisman winner' and make a better living than 99% of the people on this board. he's set for life just by being matt leinart.

I think that Michael Johnson has a huge upside, and assuming we get a real coach, finally, he could be a beast.

As it seems more and more likely that we switch the the 3-4, college personnel really seems to favor it.

Turk is really the only defender in the front seven who's halfway fit for this defense, though. Other than QB in the 1st, the rest of the draft will need to be defense, defense, defense.
